All the Time, chapter 2
"Where should I drive you to?"
"Wait! Open the door!" Tre said pounding on the windows of the cab. It was raining hard outside the cab. The rain came down in the buckets. Sam opened the door and let him inside the warm cab. The plane had landed a few minutes ago. When she went to get her luggage she didn't see him so she assumed he left. Obviously, he didn't.
"It's bloody cold out there."
"You're all wet!"
"Yeah, I know." With that he started to shake his head, so that the water went all over her.
"You got me wet!"
"I know! Ha Ha!"
"Ahem! Where should I drive you two to?" The driver said slightly annoyed by the interruption.
"Yes, take us to the hotel my good man."
The cab sped down the street. Outside the windows, she could see nothing but rain, just blurry images of things that were there. A couple minutes and soaking wet clothes later, they had arrived at the hotel. They had paid the driver and gotten out of the cab. Tre was the first to get out. Sam quickly followed after she had been sent a nasty look from the driver. As soon as they had gotten out they got splashed by a puddle from an ongoing car.
"Bastard!" Tre yelled.
"Great, now I'm even more wet."
They continued walking up the steps till Tre's bag fell, he had decided to stop and get some rest. She had stopped walking and too taken a rest. They sat down in the pouring rain on the steps of the hotel.
"Tell me again why I had to come with you to your hotel. I'm not even staying in a hotel."
"Because I wanted to drop off my luggage, make a couple phone calls, and annoy people like you."
"I really don't see why you had to drag me along with you. And couldn't you find someone else to annoy, besides me?"
"A. You're my love salve, and B. you're so annoyable."
"A. I'm not your love slave, B. well yeah I can really get annoyed easily and C. I don't think annoyable is a word."
"Really? Oh well. Ok good. I'm glad you finally agree with me on something." He stood up and puller her up with him. They continued up the steps until they reached the glass doors.
"Hey, could you get that door for me?
"Why don't I just use my witchcraft to open it?" She said sarcastically.
"Ok!"
"Tre, I was being sarcastic."
"Oh..."
"You get the door, YOU dragged me here."
"Fine." He said with a sigh of defeat.
Tre opened the door and they were instantly met with warmth. Tre handed her his bags and went to go check in. Sam spotted a comfortable looking chair and grabbed the bags and sat down. She took in the view of the lobby. Very elegant. When you first walked in you saw a couple of nice yellow looking leather chairs. With a dark black table in the middle that had a glass bowl of candy on it. Then, there was three or four steps leading to a higher platform. There, was the front desk and another dark black table with candy on it. Something made her look up at the ceiling. On it was a beautiful painting of angels and clouds, just like the mansions built in the 1900s had.
"What the hell!" Sam slightly jumped. She looked over at Tre who was madly waving his arms back and forth. She guessed he was mad and something was wrong.
"What the hell do you mean my room isn't ready! I booked my room two months ago, and you assholes knew I was arriving today!"
She let a groan, she could tell what this was going to turn into.
"Well, we apologize, for the inconvenience. We could get you another room, it would be slightly smaller-"
"I want the room I paid for!"
"The best we can do is get it ready in two hours." By this point Sam had abandoned her chair and was walking towards Tre. She gently put a hand on his shoulder.
"I'm sorry sir, we had a very long flight. We will come back and get the room in two hours. Could we leave our bags here?" she said to the very frightened looking receptionist.
"Very good, ma'am. I will have one of the bellhops look after it for you."
"Thank you." Come on Tre."
They walked out and stood on the steps. It was still raining.
"You were rude."
"They should've had the room done!"
"Hey," Sam said in warning tone, "don't complain to me. Where should we go?"
"Lets go find somewhere to eat. I'm starving what about you?"
"Yeah, I am."
They continued walking down the stairs in the rain. Tre hailed a cab and they got in. They had decided on a restaurant recommended by the driver. They pulled up in front of a very nice look place. Tre paid the driver and they got out. They were seated by window over looking London Bridge.
"This is nice."
"Yeah, the food here is great."
"You've been here before?"
"Yeah back in the early days when we first got started.
"Then how come you didn't pick this place, the driver had to?"
"I forgot about it."
"Oh yeah, I forgot you only remember stuff that has to do with yourself, Green Day, and your hot body."
"I have a hot body? You complimenting me, wow!"
"Hey, I'm not that mean."
"Are you all ready to order?"
"Yes, I'll have the fish and chips and a water please."
"And you sir?"
"I'll have the roast chicken, onion soup, a garden salad, and a beer."
"Very good, I'll be back soon with your food." The waiter walked away.
"Water, I thought you could drink, you know alcohol?"
"I could, but I choose not to. Look who's talking, you order enough to feed Africa, and then some."
"Are you trying to diss The Tre Cool?"
"I choose not to answer to that." With that she started to look out the window, noting the rain was letting up a little. A bit later their food was served. Sam paid, because Tre didn't feel like it. Later when they were in the car, San took out the bill from the restaurant.
"You cost me 100 dollars! I want, no I demand you pay me back."
"In what way?" Tre said with a seductive tone and while wiggling his eyebrows at the same time.
"Men. They're impossible! Sex crazed pigs."
"Yep, we are!"
"Hey, it's been a little more than two hours, our- I mean your room should be ready."
"You said our."
"Is it always rainy here or is it just me?"
"Don't change the subject! You said OUR room. What did you mean by that?"
"I simply made a mistake. Do you have a problem that?"
"I think you really want it to be our room."
"And what if I do?"
"You do?"
"No, I was kidding."
"Don't do that, you confuse me." Exactly when Tre said this they got back to the hotel.
"Wait! Open the door!" Tre said pounding on the windows of the cab. It was raining hard outside the cab. The rain came down in the buckets. Sam opened the door and let him inside the warm cab.
