We all sat down at our table and looked at our menu's, except for me. I just got water.
I slightly turned my head and bit my lip. There was Billie, sitting with Adrienne.
"You guys, we should probably go." I motioned towards Adrienne and Billie sitting accross from us.
Billie looked up and covered his face with his menu.
"Billie? What are you looking at?"
"N-Nothing."
We got up to leave, just as Adrienne turned around. How much more unlucky could we get?
"Hey Dani, Mike, Tre' and Sarah! What are you doing here?" She said in a sweet voice.
"Uhm, nothing. We're going to Rudy's Can't Fail Cafe'....Okay. See you two later bye."
We started walking away, just as Michelle started speaking. "Mommy..I gots to go pee."
I stopped and sighed, then looked at her.
She started crying, "Don't be maaad"
"Hunny, why would I be mad. Come on, mommy will take to to the restroom."

"Dani, I didn't know you had a kid."
"Yeah, I've had her for 4 years."
"How come I've never seen her before."
"Uhmm....I-I don't know." I lied.
"Aww, she's so cute."
Adrienne came up to Michelle and introduced herself. She smiled and she looked at her features and her smile faded.
"Dani..."
I held my breath waiting for her to yell.
"I'll let you go now. It was good talking to you. See you later. Bye"
"B-Bye....? Bye Billie...."
I met the others outside and they were pacing back and forth, not wanting to find out if Adrienne found out about Michelle.
"Well..?" Sarah said, holding onto Tre'.
"I don't think she knows. She was looking at her then she kind of stopped smiling. Can we just go. I'm hungry, and it's cold out."
They exchanged worried glances. It was the hottest day of the month and everyone was in shorts and t-shirts.
(Back at home and on the phone with Billie -privately-)
"Billie...we have to tell her."
"Are you fucking crazy! Dani, you have no idea how much I love her!"
"BILLIE! You don't know what it's like to be in love and never be with that person. Be with that person you've loved all your life! That you love them so much, as much as you love Adrienne, but you have to stand back and watch them be married to someone else! You have NO concept!"
Tears were coming from my eyes. Then there was just silence.
I could slightly hear Billie crying. He always tried to hide it.
"Billie, why do you have to hide it?"
"Hide what?" came his upset reply.
"Never mind. Anyways. Billie, we can't keep doing this. She is going to find out sooner or later, and it will be even harder...for all of us. Especially her."
"But Dani, she might not forgive me. I don't think you understand!"
(Good thing this isn't a yelling conversation)
"NO Billie! YOU don't understand!" I just broke down and finally let it all out.
"Why must it always about you! It's not about you Billie! And you don't understand that. You're not even thinking about how I feel or...Adrienne for god sake!"
He didn't reply so I starting talking(more yelling I guess) again.
"You have no idea how much pain this has caused me. It's so painful Billie, and you don't even know it. I love you to death, I would do anything for you. And you use me as a sideline everytime you're upset. I'm not going to let you do that anymore.
Billie...remember when we dated as teenagers? I couldn't eat or sleep, or be normal without thinking of you. I was so in love with you. And that affection has never changed. I'm still the same. At least I have Mike's shoulder to cry on. Yes, I love him to death, but your the one my heart leans to the most. I love you and I need you so bad, I've thought of ending it all. I almost did, but then you kissed me and I felt normal, I felt happier then ever. Now I know it was a lie. This is it Billie. I'm telling her wether you want me to or not. You better get to her first or she'll hear it from me.
Think about it."
I turned off the phone and cried into my hands.
When all my tears were dried and I was cleaned up I came out of the office and saw Mike was now on the phone. I went up to bed and I fell asleep right away.
I never heard Mike come to bed. And when I woke up he wasn't beside me. I started to get worried. I never heard him get up. Then I heard him laughing, he was talking on the phone. I smiled and got out of bed. Slowly I went downstairs.
"Morning Dani!"
Mike ran over to me and gave me a hug.
"Dani I'll be back later. I'll call you. Bye love!" He grabbed his keys, kissed me on the cheek and ran out the door.
"Bye?"
I grabbed some toast and sat on the computer and IM'd Tre'.
Dani: Hey Tre'! You havn't been on the computer for a while
Tre': Hey Dani=) I know, I had a..uhm. It starts with a V, so I had to get a new computer.
Dani: A virus?
Tre': Yes! That's the one
Dani: Hahaha, loser. Anywho. Mike has been acting wierd lately. He seems alot happier and he's HUMMING and smiling all the time. and AlWAYS on the phone.
You know why?
Tre': Uhm. I might. What's it worth to yah?
Dani: Well let's see. If you don't tell me you will find yourself with no balls.
Tre': Point taken. It's an old friend he started talking to again like a month ago.
But the humming and the smiling, I think he's always done that. I forget her name.
Dani: Yeah, but not this much
Tre': I hate to say it Dani, but I think he's falling in love with her.
I sat back in my chair unable to make my fingers move.
Tre': Dani, you there?
Dani: Uhm, I think so.
Tre': Hey, sorry.
Dani: It's okay, it's not your fault.
Tre': I'm always availible^^
Dani: haha, loser. Okay, well I'm going to go now. Bye, talk to you soon.
Tre': Okay, bye Dani. Love you. Uhm, good luck with Billie, Adrienne and Mike.

I signed off and immediatly phoned Mike.
"Hello?"
"Mike where are you?"
"Uhm. At rudy's Can't Fail Cafe' with Brittany."
"Whos Brittany?"
"What? I can't hear you, your cutting out. I need to talk to you later. It's important, so when I get home I will talk with you. Bye"
He hung up right away and left me hanging.

I turned off the phone and cried into my hands.
