5 months later

"Tell me something that no one knows." Elizabeth said as she looked up into the eyes of the man who she completely loves with all her heart, Jack.

"Well, I'll tell you something no one knows, but first, you should sit down"

Liz smiled and said ok. She sat on the couch while Jack went on his knees.

"Baby, you know I love you, but..."

"What's wrong baby? You looked troubled..."

Jack looked into her eyes and then looked down.

"I'm joining the Army, when this year is over with."

Elizabeth looked at him with a blank expression.

"You're doing what?"

"Baby its not you, I just want to serve my country. I wanna be there where the action is. I wanna defend this country. Please don't be mad at me. I love you so much."

Elizabeth looked at him with her eyes glazed over with tears and nodded. She didn't say a word, she just nodded. Jack looked at her and touched her cheek to wipe away her tear that fell down her beautiful face.

"What's going to happen to us then?" Liz finally asked.

Jack looked into her eyes and said,
"I don't know, I really don't."

Liz looked at him for a long time and finally said,
"I'll wait for you..."

In Minnesota

"80 please keep taking me away....away... "

"Billie, stop teasing me! I said it was a cute song but now you've just gone over board."

Billie Joe laughed and said,
"Well Adie, I can't help it! I'm so in love with you."

"Well I love you too, so much."

The two lovers walked hand in hand down the Minnesota streets in the cold darkness. Amazingly enough Billie Joe had forgotten about Liz, even though she had forgotten him too. Billie Joe finally found his match, in young Adrienne Nesser. She completed him in every way. She was beautiful, exciting and just amazing. He loved her with everything he had left in him. And Adrienne loved him every bit as much as he loved her. It was fate.

Fate that came in between Billie Joe and Liz, but it was fate that brought back Liz and Jack and Billie Joe and Adrienne....
