Don't Lie...You know You Still Love Me..., chapter 5
She just stood there, like a dumb fool untill Anna nudged her and she quickly spated out a "Thanks, you too"
Billie Joe looked at her with a warm smile that drove Liz crazy.
"So uh Elizabeth, you gonna save me a seat?"
Liz could hardly believe what she was hearing. Before she could answer Anna said,
"Oh yeah, we'll save you a seat next to Liz here."
Billie Joe smiled and said,
"Awsome, Ill see you guys inside"
Anna and Liz walked in the coffee shop to find their friends over waiting for them on a coutch.
"Hey! Finally you guys show up!" said Victoria.
Anna laughed and said,
"Yeah we even got ole Liz here a date for tonight, so schooch over and make room for Billie Joe."
They all looked at Elizabeth and seemed to ask the same question at once,
"Billie is gonna sit by you!?"
Liz looked at them and laughed and said,
"What??"
They all started laughing when Jordan stoped and said,
"Hey Liz, guess who wont stop glancing over here at you?"
Liz stoped laughing and looked in Jack's direction.
"There he is again, with that damn sad look on his face. You'd think that he wouldn't be sorry because hes the one who broke it off. I swear...."
Anna's words seemed to turn into mush as Elizabeth stared over at Jack. She couldn't understand why she was still looking over at him, but she didn't mind it. Suddenly she felt the urge to get up and go over there untill Billie came over to where she was sitting.
Billie looked confused and said,
"Hey darling, what are you staring at?"
All of Liz's feelings for Jack seemed to disappear as she looked into Billie Joe's eyes, well almost all of her feelings.
"Oh nothing, sorry I just zone out from time to time" Liz said while smiling at Billie.
While they smiled at each other Anna looked at Billie Joe and asked the most embarresing question she could think of,
"So Billie, how are you and your girlfriend?"
Elizabeth and her friends almost spit out their drinks, then all of them looked over at Billie Joe.
He smiled and said,
"Oh thats all over with, I ended that one tonight, but it feels like its been over longer, if you know what I mean."
Anna smiled at Liz and said,
"Yeah I know what you mean."
Liz couldn't believe Anna actually asked that question, alothough she had been wondering the same thing. Oh well, Liz thought, At least we got that one cleared up.
Finally the band started playing and of course they had to play a slow song first.
Elizabeth looked over at Jack's direction to see what his reaction would be to the song the band played. Jack actually looked like he was getting up. In fact he did get up and started walking in Liz's direction. But as soon as he almost got over to the coutch, Billie turned to Liz and asked her to dance. The look on Jack's face was priceless.
Suddenly Jack relaized that he had missed out on EVERYTHING. For a second he just stood there and watched while Elizabeth and Billie Joe danced. He watched her smile when Billie made her laugh, and saw through her eyes that if he ever wanted to be in her life again he had to do SOMETHING, anything.
While they danced Billie and Liz were trapped in a daze in each other's eyes. It was a perfect moment. Elizabeth felt something grow in her heart. Maybe she wouldn't forever be waiting on Jack, but she still had feelings for Jack as well. This was all very confusing. And alothough she loved being in Billie's arms she was glad when the song was over with.
*A few hours later*
When the concert was over with everyone went out side to find their rides and just talk about the night went.
"So everyone what did ya'll think about the gig?" asked Anna when they were all outside.
"It was awsome!" said Elizabeth.
Everyone agreed, Here on Planet Eath kicked major ass.
As Liz, Anna, Vic, Amber and Jordan walked around Billie Joe remained at Liz's side.
They seemed insepreable that night. And Elizabeth never wanted it to end. Sadly though the night had to end at curfew. Billie Joe gave Liz a hug and then he drove off on his Harley Davison motercycle. As he drove off, and after Anna and Liz said bye to the girls Liz swooned over what had happen that night. Her and Anna talked about it untill they got to Anna's house.
When Anna got out of the car she looked back at Liz and said,
"Your welcome hun!"
Liz laughed and drove home. Nothing could ruin this night, nothing at all.
Or at least Liz thought nothing could. When she opened the door to her house and checked her caller ID it had said that Jack called. There was also a message on the answering machine stating that Jack wanted to talk to Liz.
Elizabeth sanked into her bed and stared off into space. Suddenly her eyes began to water and she started crying.
