Don't Lie...You know You Still Love Me..., chapter 6
While Elizabeth sat in her bed, crying, she listened to an old contry song that she listened to when she was little.
I will twine with your mingles of raven black hair
With the roses so red and the lilies so fair
With myrtle as bright as the emerald dew
The pale and the lyd-er and eyes of light blue
I will dance and i'll sing and my life shall be gay
I will charm every heart and each crown i shall sway
Though my heart now is breaking he never shall know
How his name makes me tremble, my pale cheeks to glow.
Oh he promised to love me; he promised to love
And to cherish me always all others above.
I woke from my dream and my idol was clay
My passion for loving had vanished away.
Oh he taught me to love him; he called me his flower
A blossom to cheer him through life's weary hour
But now he is gone and left me alone
I will dance and i'll sing and my heart will be gay
I'll banish this weeping, drive troubles away.
I'll live yet to see him regret this dark hour
When we won and neglected this frail wildwood flower.
Always when Liz heard that song she would cry. Even when she was a little girl she would cry. She used to say when she was younger, that'll be me someday. And now it was her. She was crying. Liz just didn't know what to think anymore. Finally Jack had realized his mistakes but he had realized them too late. Now Elizabeth had feelings for someone else. She knew that Billie Joe would be the one who she would fall for. She knew he could never hurt her. He was to sweet. She really liked Billie, but then there was Jack. What can she do? She still has feelings for Jack but there old feelings. Like missing the old days. Sure they were great and amazing but you can't live in the past forever...can you? No Liz knew she had to be with Billie. She had a choice, and it was Billie. She didn't know how to handle this. But for so long she has gotten use to Jack ingoring her in the halls and everwhere else, how could she pretend that didn't happen? Jack had wasted 3 months of her life by doing nothing. Yet Liz had alwasy loved him. There was something about him. But she didn't want him now. She wanted to know what this attraction to Billie was about.
While Liz was still deep in thought she heard a tapping on her window. Of course she screamed out of her mind and jumped off her bed in a hurry. She almost ran into the kicthen to get a knife when she heard a fimaller voice saying,
"Hey Liz are you home? Come on darling let me in. I'm not gonna kill ya!"
Then she heard him laugh, it was Billie Joe.
Liz smiled to her self then opened her window to let Billie in.
"Bille what in hell are you doing here? How did you find my house?"
Billie looked at her and said,
"Well I was driving around looking for my house but I drove by here and saw the infamous '92 camaro and decided to stop by."
Then Billie took a closer look at Liz and said,
"Have you been crying?"
Liz looked up at him with all the saddens in her eyes. Then without thinking she ran to him and hugged him. Billie hugged her with all his strength. What in the world is wrong with her he asked himself. Liz felt so safe in Billie's arms. A safeness she hasn't felt in a long time. Billie then stood back and wiped Liz's tears from her eyes and asked,
"Whats wrong"
Liz looked up and poured out her soul.
About an hour later the were both on Elizabeth's bed and Billie was just floored. How could someone do something so horrible to such an amazing girl? She didn't deserve this. She deserved only the best.
Liz sat there with her head down when Billie put his hand under her chin to raise up her head so he could see her face.
"Liz, I promise I will never do that to you. I'll never treat you like he did. You deserve so much better. You deserve the best."
Liz's dark browm eyes lit up as Billie Joe leaned in and softly brushed his lips against hers, and he kissed her.
