Tales From Another Broken Home, chapter 12

(Next day. Wedding day morning.)
---Joey's POV---

This morning has been so busy. We have to stay with Grandma Ollie for a while. Today is the wedding so Jake and I cannot be in the way and tonight, Dad and Adi leave for their honeymoon, two weeks in London. We had to wake up early today because we have to pick up our suits from Adeline. They are really cool. They both match Daddy's but each one is different. Jakob's has a bowtie and mine comes with a vest. It is already eleven and we are all dressed and ready. The ceremony starts at one so we will be leaving soon. I cannot wait. Stella, Frankito and Ramona will all be there too. Stella is the flower girl while Jake and I are the ring bearers. Frankito and Ramona get to hold Adiana's train. We all have big parts in it. Well, it is time to go.

(Wedding Chapel in Emeryville.)
---Billie's POV---

Oh my God, I am so nervous. Today has been the day I have dreamed of for years, our wedding. Everything is perfect, I made sure of that. I do not know why I am just so scared. Mike is right, this is different. I loved Adrienne, but not like this. I was not scared, nervous and anxious all at the same time for our wedding. I need to calm down. What if she does not love me? What if she does not love me the way I love her? What if she gets cold feet and does not show, or runs away at the altar? No. No. No. Billie, pull yourself together.

I stepped outside the door and walked down the hallway. I saw Mike standing outside. He was smoking a cigarette. I decided to join him.

"Hey, man."

"What's up, Billie?"

"Nothing. I'm a nervous wreck. You got a smoke?"

"Sure."

He dug in his pocket, pulled out a pack and gave me one.

"And a light?"

He lit my cigarette. I took a drag and the nicotine run it's course.

"Thanks, man."

"Yeah, you look scared shitless."

"It's because I am."

"If I were you I'd be too. Adiana's a great girl. You're lucky to have her."

"You know, people have told me that since the day we started going out. That's another thing that scares me. She's the only woman I've ever gone out with that people have told me I'm lucky to have. When I married Adrienne, people told me she was cute, not that I was lucky. What if she knows that? What if she realized I lucked out? She still thinks that she doesn't deserve me. I don't even know why. She's just... I can't get over it."

I slid down against the wall and pulled my knees into my chest. Mike patted my back.

"It'll be okay, trust me. I've never seen to people crazier about each other. Just calm down. In a few hours it'll all be over. You're years of waiting will finally be over."

"Yeah, thanks man. I needed that. So, you ready to go back inside?"

"Yeah."

I took one last drag off of my cigarette and tossed it aside. We walked back into the chapel to see a surprisingly happy Tre.

(Billie and Adi's house. Bedroom.)
---Adi's POV---

Oh, fuck. We're going to be late. I just know it. Damn. Damn. Damn. The hair and make-up people still have not gotten here and it is already nearing eleven-thirty. We are supposed to be sharing our vows at one. Today could not be more delayed. I sent Spud down to see how Billie was doing. I knew he was going to be nervous today. I tried calling his cell but he turned it off. If I was even a fraction of a second late to the wedding and did not tell him he would probably think I ran. I would never do that. My bridesmaids were running from around the house, trying to get ready. They were just as antsy as I was. My phone went off, I could hear Feel Like Making Love echo throughout the room.

"Shh. It's Billie!" I yelled at everyone. The room fell silent as I picked up the phone.

"Billie?"

"Hey, baby."

"Yeah, hey. I've been trying to call you for about an hour. The hair and make-up people aren't here yet. I'm probably going to be late."

"What the fuck? That's bullshit. I'm calling them, no way you're going to be late!"

"Billie, it's okay... "

"No, it's not. They're not gonna fuck up my... our wedding!"

He hung up.

I sighed. He was freaking. The one thing I promised him he would not have to. I feel bad for whoever is working the phones at the salon. Billie has a very short temper. Knowing that they may have ruined our wedding, he will be anything but nice.

(Five minutes earlier.)
---Billie's POV---

"Hey, Tre. You look ecstatic," I said.

"Yeah, that's 'cuz I am. Did'ya see who Adi hooked me up with?"

"Yeah, Spud?"

"Uh-huh. She's fucking sexy. I'd like to... "

"Okay Tre, sorry to break this up, but when did'ya see her?"

"Oh yeah, she siad that Adi needs to speak to you. Call her cell."

And with that, Tre skipped away to find Spud again. I ran back in the room and checked my cell. Fifteen missed calls. I called her and she said that the hair and make-up people are late. I am so fucking pissed. No one is going to ruin my wedding. I angrily punched the digits to the salon into my phone.

"Hello, this is... "

"Yeah, you're fucking late."

"Excuse me, sir?"

"You heard me. You're two fucking hours late! My fiancée has been waiting. What the fuck?"

"Calm down sir. Today has been booked and... "

"I don't give a flying fuck!"

"Okay sir, I need your name."

"Billie Joe Armstrong!"

"Billie... Oh my God! You're Billie Joe Armstrong?"

"Who the fuck else?"

"I'm so sorry. Someone will be there shortly."

"Damn straight!"

I hung up and threw the phone across the room. Mike opened the door.

"Woah, Billie. Calm down, man. Is everything okay?"

"No. The fucking hair and make-up people haven't showed and Adi might be late."

"She's not gonna be late. Billie, I need you to really calm the fuck down. Joey, Jakob and your Mom are here. I think they should keep you company."

"Yeah. Okay, tell them to come in."

---Adi's POV---

After about ten minutes, a fleet of white vans showed up with at least twenty or thirty hair and make-up people. Billie must have really flipped on them. They basically barged inside with a bit of panic in their voices.

"Where's the bride?"

"That'd be me."

"Okay Miss, we deeply apologize for our tardiness. Now, enough talk. Time to make this bride pop."

They had about five or six people doing my hair and make-up at the same time. In no time they were done and I looked at my reflection in the mirror. It barely looke like me. They had transformed me into this radiant, beautiful and happy bride to be. I put the vail over my face and we rushed to the chapel.

---Billie's POV---

"Daddy!" shouted Jakob. He pounced on me and I strted to laugh.

"Hey, Jakey."

"Hi, Dad," said Joey. He looked extremely happy as well. He gave me a hug.

"Well, would you look at my boys? They are all so handsome," said my Mom.

"Hi, Mom."

She brought me into this tight hug and kissed my cheek. Her eyes started to water.

"I just can't believe you two are finally getting married. I always knew she was the one for you. Oh, you look so happy."

"Mom, stop crying. You're gonna make me start."

"Sorry. Well, it'll be starting soon. Joey? Jakob? You two find Michael and ask him where you gotta go. Alright? And he's got the rings too."

"Yeah, Grandma," said Joey.

"Bye," said Jake.

---Adi's POV---

We finally pulled up to the chapel. As soon as the car stopped we practically had to run inside.

"Adiana! Oh my God, you look so gorgeous!" shouted Spud.

"Hey, Spud. You look so hot."

"I love you!" she screamed and hugged me.

"Ummm, I love you too?"

"Thanks for setting me up with Tre. He's amazing!"

"I thought you'd think that."

"Well, enough about my love life. Time for you to become Mrs. Billie Joe Armstrong!"

She grabbed my arm and we ran inside the chapel.

"Okay, I gotta go now. Good luck! I can't wait til this whole thing is over. For my sake and yours."

She gave me a hug and ran off to her place beside the priest. I peeked inside and
I got to see Billie lead Mrs. Ollie down the aisle. He looked so sexy in that suit. I want to rip it off of him. He took his place beside the priest. He looked like he was going to burst into tears.

"Are you ready?"

I looked up and saw Mike smiling at me. I smiled and nodded. Because my father had passed away, Mike agreed to walk me down the aisle and 'give' me away to Billie.

"Yeah, and it took long enough."

The wedding march had started. Mike grabbed my arm. Ramona and Frankito were behind me, holding the train of my dress. In front of us, Stella was eagerly waiting to throw flowers at people in the pews. The doors opened and I took the surprisingly long walk down the altar. All eyes were on me, but a pair had stuck out. His green eyes had started to fill with tears. My hazel ones as well.

---Billie's POV---

Oh my God. Adiana looked beyond gorgeous. I cannot put it into words. As son as she started to walk down the aisle towards me, towards out future, I felt tears running down my face. Tears of joy. Mike let go of her arm and stood beside me. I took my place next to Adiana, in front of the altar. The priest opened his book and started reading.

"We are gathered here to join Billie Joe Armstrong and Adiana Monroe in holy matrimony. Has anyone a reason these two should not be married? Speak now, or forever hold your peace."

I barely paid attention to him, my thoughts were absorbed by Adiana's beauty. I just could not stop staring at her. I cannot believe this is happening.

"Do you have the rings?"

I nodded and turned to Joey and Jakoe. Joey handed me the rings.

"Good luck, Dad."

"Thanks, buddy."

I took the ring and gave one to Adiana. She took it and my hand.

"Do you, Adiana Monroe, take Billie Joe Armstrong to be your lawfully wedded husband? To have and to hold, this day forward, until death do you part?"

"I do."

She placed the wedding band on my finger. Hearing her say those two words was indescribable. I could not be happier than I am at this moment.

"Do you, Bilie Joe Armstorng, take Adiana Monroe to be your lawfully wedded wife? To have and to hold, this day forward, until death do you part?"

"I do."

I placed the band on her finger.

"I pronounce you Mr. and Mrs. Billie Joe Armstrong. You may now kiss the bride."

That is it. I could not take it a second longer. I picked up Adiana and attacked her face with my mouth. I heard her giggle as the congregation cheered us on. I felt a tap on my shoulder.

"Sir, I recommend saving that for the honeymoon."

I smiled at him and put my wife, my wife down. I grabbed Adi's hand and we walked down the aisle. We stepped inside the limo. I started kissing her neck.

"I missed you too, Bilie. Why don't we save it for tonight?"

She gave me a hug and a huge kiss.

"God, I love you, Mrs. Armstrong."

"And I love you, Mr. Armstrong."
