Tales From Another Broken Home, chapter 15
Early October 2008.
Billie's POV
It's been a pretty hectic last few months. Adiana and I got full custody of Joey and Jake. Spud and Tre have been going out and last week was their five month anniversary. Adi is now eight and a half months pregnant. I just cannot believe it still, that I'm going to have twin girls. We've already decided on the names. Sidney Strummer and Silence Simonon. I have been running around for the last month or so trying to get the girl's room decorated. I want them to have the best of the best. Adiana has been telling me to stop being so nervous but I just want everything to be perfect before they arrive. Adiana's due date is next week. The thought of me becoming a father again in the next seven days is scary and amazing all at the same time.
I went to the store last week and bought some paint for the room. It's this light green that matches their bedspreads, black with green stars on it. I already bought their cribs and all the little things that you need, basinets, pacifiers, clothes, mobiles, toys, highchairs, chests and dressers and all. This is probably the most organized I have ever been.
I just finished painting the girl's room last night. I was so exhausted that I crawled into bed and passed out.
Adiana's POV
When Billie came to bed last night and crashed, I could barely contain my laughter. He looked so cute, he had paint all over his shirt and jeans and a bit on his face. His eyes were rolling in the back of his head and he smiled at me and passed out once he hit the mattress. He's such a great guy, I really don't know why he fell in love with me.
Now that I'm eight months along, I'm really starting to show. Every now and then I can feel the girl's kick, especially on the left side of my stomach. Another thing that isn't so great about the whole pregnancy thing are my hormones. One minute, I'm pissed off at the world and am begging for a fight, the next I'm balling my eyes out and then I'm hornier then my husband is after twelve months of touring.
I was awoken early, again, by another kick. I've gotten so used to this by now. I got out of bed and tried not to wake Billie, walked into the bathroom and took a shower. After I was finished, I walked downstairs and started a pot of freshly brewed coffee. While I was waiting on the coffee I opened the fridge and searched for what would be this morning's breakfast.
I decided on pancakes, eggs and bacon. I was in a cooking mood, it always made me feel like the typical house wife. While the bacon was frying I cracked open the eggs and stirred them and put them on the pan. Scrambled it is. I took out the pancake mix and fixed those as well.
I dug in the cupboard for my coffee cup and poured the wonderfully scented liquid into my cup. I sat at the counter in the kitchen and waited for the food to be done. I felt two strong, loving arms wrap around my now fairly larger waist. I felt lips kiss my neck softly. I saw those two, gorgeous green eyes that I have grown accustomed to fading away in staring back at me brightly.
Billie managed to change out of his clothes from the previous night of painting and take a shower. His hair was still wet and a few droplets of water remained on his chest. He was in a pair of lounge pants.
"Good morning, beautiful."
"Good morning youself, sexy."
He smiled again after he heard me say that and kissed me softly on my lips.
"Smells great, like always."
"Yup, pancakes, bacon and eggs."
"If you keep feeding me like this I'm gonna stat getting chubby again."
"I think you're cute when you're chubby."
"Yeah, yeah."
He sat down beside me and ran his fingers through his hair and placed his head on the counter while staring at me with his big green eyes.
"What do you want, Billie?"
"I want my amazingly perfect wife to make me a cup of her famous coffee."
"And why on earth would I do that?"
"Because you love me?"
"I can't argue with that."
I got up and made him a cup of coffee and sat back down on my stool.
"You look so beautiful right now."
"Yeah, right. With the bags under my eyes and the pregnancy weight. I look fucking gorgeous."
"Adiana, you really look amazing right now. I love you."
"What are you buttering me up for now?"
"Nothing, a man can't tell his wife how much he loves her without wanting something?"
"Sadly, that's how the world works."
"Okay, so maybe I want to get in your pants tonight."
"And there lies our answer."
He placed a hand on my cheek and kissed me again. I heard two sets of padded footsteps come downstairs. Joey and Jakob have finally decided to join us. I tapped Billie on the shoulder as a sign for him to stop and he sat back in his chair but not without frowning.
"Morning, Adi."
"Good morning boys. You guys want something to eat?"
"Yeah, I'm starved," said Joey.
"Yeah, like Joey said," replied Jakob.
"Okay, I'll make you guys a plate of food and then I want you two to get dressed and ready for school."
"Aw, I don't wanna go to school," complained Joey.
"Yeah, I think I'm starting to come down with something," said Jakob in his cute voice.
"No complaining, you eat and then your Dad is driving you two to school."
"I don't wanna," answered Billie in his childish voice.
"Don't you start on me Billie Joe Armstrong."
Joey started to laugh when they heard me use Billie's full name.
"What are you laughing at Joseph Marciano Amrstrong?"
He stopped laughing suddenly and sat at the table waiting for his food.
As I walked back into the kitchen I saw Billie, out of the corner of my eye, stick his tongue out at me and Joey and Jake laugh again. I sighed at how much he acts like a five year old and started to make the boys breakfast. It will be nice to have more girls in the house though. But I'll be raising five kids, Billie is just as bad as the boys sometimes. I laughed to myself and placed the food on the counter, made my own plate, and sat beside Billie.
"So, why do I have to bring the kids to school?"
"Because your eight and half month pregnant wife is exhausted and is going to pop at any second."
"Right."
"You did a great job in the girl's room."
"You saw that, huh?"
"Yes and you deserve a reward."
"And what is it? A Transformer?"
"Even better."
"A Transformer who's head can turn into a mini-robot."
I laughed at him and planted a kiss on his lips.
"Yup, but only a bit better then the Transformer."
"You're an idiot."
"Whom you married."
He gave me a cheeky smile and I slapped him playfully on the shoulder. He fake sobbed and then got the boys ready for school and left the house. I sat back down on the sofa and breathed in deeply. This pregnancy is really taking its toll on me. My back aches, my head hurts, I'm always hungry. If someone told me that this is what it feels like I wouldn't have gotten pregnant in the first place.
Wait, no, I still would have because I love him. I want to have our children. But after this, I'm getting my tubes tied. Four kids are enough for me.
