So Close Yet So Far, chapter 6
"I'm watching you!" Jakob snickers.
"Piss off!" Joey says angrily.
"Can't Dad says I have to follow you everywhere and make sure you keep your virginity," Jakob teases.
"If you're going to follow us can't you stop being so annoying?" Ramona asks rolling her eyes.
"Nope, sorry," he says evilly.
"Kids, you have to board the plane now," Billie Joe calls out. All of them head over to where there parents are standing. "You behave yourself." Billie says in a warning tone to his oldest son.
"Yeah, yeah."
"I'm serious," he warns.
"Fine," Joey says as he trudges past the gate after his mother and brother.
"I still can't believe you like Joey!" Estelle says in slight disgust as she adjusts her seat.
"Well get used to it," Ramona says rolling her eyes. "What about you and Jakob?"
"What about us? There's nothing going on," she mutters.
"So that's why we heard Jake singing 'she can be my Hero baby, she can take away my pain' that cheesy Enrique Iglesias song formatted for your nick name."
"I have no idea what you're talking about," Stella mutters.
"I'm sure you don't," Ramona says in a mocking tone.
*meanwhile*
"Joey and Ramona sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S . . . nope it was interrupted by the fathers," Jakob sings in a mocking tone.
"You're taking advantage of Dad not being here," Joey mutters.
"Damn straight. Oh this is going to be a fun trip," Jakob says delightfully.
"Not if I can help it," Joey says putting up his fist.
"Pa-lese mom is two feet away, who's she going to believe the one with hurt feelings or the one with a bruise," Jakob says evilly.
"I'll risk it."
"And you'll be punished so you won't get to see your precious Ramona."
"Shut-up. Joey says putting on a set of head phones.
"So what are we going to do with the two of them?" Adie mutters.
"I don't think we can do anything, you know as well as me that we can't keep them apart," Bianca says rolling her eyes. "It's sort of genetic."
"Tell me about it," Adie says putting her head back, "Well at least Ramona is going back to New York next week."
"Yeah, well for the past year or two she's been bugging Lisea to live in Oakland and Lisea's about to give in."
"Just out of curiosity, why are we trying to keep them apart?" Bianca asks.
"I don't know," Adie says in curiosity. "We might as well let them be together."
"Mom," Josh whines, "Franky won't let me watch the same movie he's watching."
"That movie is too scary for you," Bianca says putting her son on her lap. "Why don't you watch a cartoon?"
"Okay," he mutters taking the set of headphones from the arm rest.
"Well at least we know they each some from good families," Adie says laughing.
"Oh yeah and you know Ramona is not in it for the thrill of dating a rock star's son," Bianca says laughing.
"Bianca, let me know how that goes, Mike claims Jakob has a thing for Stella." Cassie says from the seat in front of me.
"I'll do that," Bianca says casually.

"Okay," he mutters taking the set of headphones from the arm rest.
"Well at least we know they each some from good families," Adie says laughing.
"Oh yeah and you know Ramona is not in it for the thrill of dating a rock star's son," Bianca says laughing.
"Bianca, let me know how that goes, Mike claims Jakob has a thing for Stella." Cassie says from the seat in front of me.
"I'll do that," Bianca says casually.
