My Mom and the Blue Eyed Drummer!, chapter 4

*Next day* still Tre's POV

I got up the next morning at 9:00 am. I took a shower and called Angie.
"Hello?" Angie answered spleepishly.
"Hey babe, whats goin' on?" I asked.
"Oh, nothing. Nobody's really up yet. Why?" Angie asked
"Just wondering. I'm ginna eat breakfast and I'll be right over, ok?" I told Angie.
"Sure, ok" Angie replied.
"Ok, well, wee you in a bit, bye"
"Bye" Angie hung up. Adie made breakfast, which was amazing, and I left.

Angie's POV
I was really tired and I really didn't want to get all dressed and stuff when Tre was only coming over to pick up Kristie. I took a shower and put my PJ's back on. I tried to get Crystal up, but she just threw her pillow at me and rolled over. The doorbell rang and it was Tre, of course. This time Tre was dressed in jeans, a black button-up shirt, a polka-dotted tie, black eyeliner, and his hair spiked up in the middle like a mohawk.

Tre's POV
"Hey Angie" I said nervously as Angie looked me over.
"Hey Tre, wow, nice, I like it" Angie complimented while indicating my outfit.
"Really? I was really worried you weren't going to like it," I said, relieved.
"No, you look good, you can really pull the tie off," she laughed as she let me in.
"Hey, wheres Kristie?" I asked, curious.
"Oh, she hasn't gotten her lazy butt out of bed yet," Angie said with a sigh.
"Ooh, let me get her up, please?" I whined.
"Ok, good luck" Angie said while walking into the kitchen.

Crystal's POV
"Wake up, wake up, WAKE UP!!" Tre yelled while jumping on my bed.
"No, its too early" I whined.
"ITS 10:00 AM! Come on, we gots a lotta cool things to do today!" he said while he stopped jumping and he came and knelt down by my face.
"Aww, ok, get out so I can take a quick shower and get dressed," I said while my eyes were still closed.
"Ok," he sais while getting up. "Oh, remember, dress and do stuff like you normally would!" he reminded me. "Ok, GET OUT!!" I yelled. I took a shower and I got into my black jeans, my black and pink Vans, and my lime green "I Rock This World!" shirt. I also put on my black eyeliner and I put my hair up in a jaw clip. I came downstairs and Tre and my mom were in th kitchen having coffee and talking.

Tre's POV
I noticed all the Green Day posters on Kristie's wall while I was getting her up. 'Wow, this girl was obsessed. Maby I'll take her to see Billie Joe and Mike' I thought. I turned around to see Kristie in an awesome outfit.
"Wow, Kristie, lookin' good!" I complimented, amazed at her outfit.
"Thank you, and ditto!" she laughed.
"Thank you! Now hurry up and eat breakfast, we've got things to do!" I urged her.
"I only eat breakfast when I have school," Kristie said as she got some apple juice from the fridge.
"Oh, ok. Well, go grab your bass and we'll leave" I told Kristie. She ran up the stairs and dissappeared into her room. Angie and I went by the front door and waited for her.

Crystal's POV
I came down the stairs with my bass in its case and the case over my shoulder. "Ok, I'm ready, lets go!" I said excitedly. Both Tre and I kissed my mom goodbye and we got in his truck."I thought you had a voltswagon?" I asked Tre, confused.
"I'm letting Mike borrow it, so I took his truck," Tre informed me.
"Oh, ok. Where are we going? I quizzed.
"I thought we might go to the park since its so nice out" Tre said nonchantly.
"Cool," I replied while looking out the window. There was an akward silence in th car until we came to the park. I started to grab my bass, but Tre told me to leave it. I got out, and on instinct I went to the swings.Tre followed and sat down beside me.
"So..." Tre said, not knowing what to say.
"Yup," I said, kind of uncomfortable.
"So Kristie, did you enjoy your night last night?" Tre asked.
"Yeah, I think my mom did more though" I giggled.
"What do you mean by that?" TRe asked, confused.
"I saw the way she looked at you befor you two kissed" I looked over and smiles.
"I knew I heard something," Tre laughed as he kicked rocks at me.
"Hey," I said, still laughing, as I kicked rocks back at him.
"Ok, now its on," Tre sais as he got up ans started chasing me,
"AAAAAHH!" I yelled as I ran around the jungle gym with Tre on my heels. I finally got tired and I ended up on the swings again.
"Well, that was interesting," Tre said as he looked at his watch, "Oh crap! We gotta get going!" he ushered me along.
"OK," I said in a confused/innocent kind of way.

Tre's POV
Crystal and I got in the truck and we left the park. "So Kristie, I noticed you had a lot of Green Day posters on your walls. Do you really like us that much?" I quizzed, trying to make some sort of conversation.
"Yeah, to be totally honest, I'm obsessed," Kristie said sheepisly.
"Why? We're not that special," I answered, trying to get more of a reaction out of her.
"Yeah you guys are. I've never known a band that has a song for every emotion you could ever possibly have, including the odd ones that aren't named and can't be described," she threw back, defensivly.
"Really? You honestly think that?" I asked, kinda shocked.
"Yeah. You guys are awesome," she looked over and smiled.
"Thanks, you really don't know how much that means to me. Oh, we're here, so now you can tell Billie Joe and Mike," I said as I pulled into the hotel parking lot.
"OMFG! Really? I'm actually going to meet Billie Joe Armstrong and Mike Dornt?" Kristie asked excitedly.
"Yeah, and not only that, you're going to take bass lessons from Mike," I said while grinning, happy at how excited she was.
"Wow, thanks Tre, this means the world to me, I-" she was cut off by her cell phone ringing. She talked for a few minutes then she hung up. Kristie seemed in a totally different attitude, she seemed, depresed, so when me and her got out of the truck, I offered to carry her bass, "Thanks," she said while looking off into the distane.
"Um, if you don't mind me asking, whats wrong?" I asked very cautiously.
"That phone call was from my dad. He just called to tell me he wasn't going to talk to me for the next year, he had 'things' going on," she replied very aggrivated, "Don't get me wrong, I'm glad not to be going over there, but he doesn't even bother with anything anymore, I'm lucky I got a phone call. Its like hes too busy for me, and he doesn't care," she added, on the brink of tears.

Crystal's POV
"Hey, look at me," he made me look him in the eye, "You're a great girl, you deserve better. From what you just tod me, your dad sounds like a jerk who doesn't realize what he's loosing. You have an awesome personality, you express yourself, from what your mom has told me you are very musically talented, and you, from my experiences today, you are a really good friend." Tre told me like he meant it.
"Thank you" I managed to get out before I broke down in tears. Tre pulled me into a hug and we stayed like that until I stopped crying.
"Are you going to be OK?" Tre asked me, still concerned. I shook my head yes. "Ok, good, now lets go see Billie and Mike, they'll make you feel better, I can almost guarantee it!" Tre said while smiling at me. I wiped the last of my tears away and smiled back.
Tre took out his room key and entered the room, with me behind him. "Hey guys, Crystal and I are here!" Tre announced as he set my bass (in its case) on the couch. Billie Joe, Adrienne, Jakob, Joey, and Mike all came in and introduced themselves with a handshake.
"Wow, I can't believe I get to meet the famous Crystal" Billie Joe smiled.
I blushed and smiled "oh, I'm not famous," I said shyly.
"You will be eventually!" Mike said with a smile. I couldn't help but to giggle.
"Ok, now that the ice is broken, Mike can give Crystal her first lesson," Tre said with a smile.
"Oh yeah, my lessons," I said with a huge grin on my face.
Everybody but Mike and I left the room. I got my bass (named St. Jimmy) out of its case and I sat down on the couch. Mike sat down beside me and asked of he could see St. Jimmy. Mike tuned him and he asked "You wanna hear somthing cool?"
"Ooh, yeah, please!" I said excitedly. I recognized what it was immediatly, he was playing "Longview". When he was done, all I could do was smile in amazement.
"Well, do you like it?" Mike asked me, smiling.
"Yeah, that was totally amazing," I stammered,
"Well, by the time I'm done with you you'll be able to play that and a lot more!" Mike said with a chuckle.
"Seriously? Oh, well, duh, you're Mike Dirnt!" I laughed, feeling stupid, "You can do anything."
"Well, I wouldn't say anything, but yes, I can do a lot with a bass guitar," he smiled.
"Well, my point exactly" I said kind of aggrivated, but in a good way.
"Ok, back on track. What chords do you know?" Mike asked, trying to get serious.
"Not many, only G, C, and D" I replied with dissappointment.
"Oh, well, here let me teach you a few more," Mike said while taking St. Jimmy and showing me a few new fingerings for a few new chords.
After an hour and a half, I knew 6 more chords. "You're a good student, keep taking lessons with me and you'll be able to play 'Longview', 'Hitchin' a Ride', and 'Brain Stew' in no time!" Mike said with a smile.
"Thanks Mike, I really appreciate you doing this for me, even though I'll never be half as good as you," I said with a smile.
"Thanks for the compliment, but you'll be great in no time." Mike returned. I followed Mike back into the livingroom area where Tre and Billie Joe were siting and talking.
"Hey, if it isn't the next best bass player ever!" Billie said with a smile while he and Tre got up.
"Yeah, we heard you, you're good," Tre added.
"Ooh, I know a whole 9 chords, special," I said in a sarcastic way.
"Well, everybody starts out somewhere," Billie said while walking over to me.
"yeah, I suppose," I said while shrugging my shoulders.
"Hey Krisite, whats your favorite Green Day song?" Billie Joe asked me.
"Gosh, wow, I don't know. I don't have a favorite, I love them all." I stated with a thoughtful sigh.
"Well, if you could hear one right now, what would it be?" Tre asked nonchantly.
"Well, I sorta have 'Minority' stuck in my head," I said thoughtfully.
"Ok, come with us!" Mike said from behind me. I followed Billie Joe, Tre, and Mike into the other bedroom where their instruments were set up.
"OMFG! Are you guys seriously gonna play it for me?" I asked excitedly, barely being able to contain myself.
"Anything for an awesome dedicated fan like you!" Tre said.
"But, theres one condition," Billie Joe said cooly.
"Aww, what?" I asked, whining.
"You have to sing with me!" Billie Joe said as he grabbed me by the arm and pulled me over by the rest of the band.
"I can't sing worth a piece of crap!" I said to Billie while looking at him expectantly.
"That doesn't matter, as long as you have fun!" Billie Joe said with a wild smile.
"Well, I'm with Green Day, of course I'll have fun!" I said with a 'duh' attitude.
"Good, now get over here and sing with me!" Billie Joe demanded in a playful way.
"Ok, ok, I'll sing with you, jeeze." I said while moving closer to him. We sang the first few verses, but when we came to my favorite verse, I sang louder and with more confidence, so Billie Joe stopped singing. I looked over at him, but he just gave me a nod of confidence. I finished the song by myself, and when we were done, Billie Joe, Tre, and Mike all cheered for me.
"Thanks guys, even though I don't deserve it, I sucked," I said with a laugh.
" No, not really. I thought you were pretty good," Mike said with a shrug.
"Really?"
"Yeah, guys, do you agree?" Mike turned to Billie and Tre.
"Definatly" Tre nodded.
"You rock!" Billie Joe said with a nod.
"Thanks. Honestly, I can't stand the sound of my own voice." I said.
"Oh, well, we can, and it rocks!" Tre complimented. "Ok, well, Crystal, we gotta go, get your things around, do what you gotta do, and lets get going." Tte said while getting his keys and jacket.
"Hey Crystal, give me your number, this way we can keep in contact." Mike asked.
"Yeah, ditto," Billie Joe agreed. I gave them both my phone number, my adress, e-mail, and website. I thanked them again for the great time.
"No problem, we had a great time too," Billie Joe said with a smile and a hug.
"Ok, well, bye Billie Joe, bye Mike, thanks for the lessons" I gave Mike a hug.
"Your welcome, I had fun" Mike said as I stepped out of the door and into the hallway.

Tre's POV
"Ready to go?" I asked Kristie while she closed the hotel room door.
"Yeah," she said sweetly.
"Good, you wanna ride in the truck or the voltswagon?" I asked, trying to make her feel involved.
"Hmm, the voltswagon. I miss ours so much," Kristie replied with a dissappointed tone.
"The voltswagon it is!" I announced, while throwing my fist in the air and a look of dignification on my face. Kristie laughed and I couldn't help but to giggle too. After I stopped laughing, I offered Kristie my elbo while trying to look sophistocated. She looked up at me, grabbed my arm, and smiled. I escorted her to the passenger side of the voltswagon, where I opened her door for her and bowed like a gentleman as she got in. I hopped in the drivers seat, started the car, and pulled out of the parking lot.
"So Kristie, did you have a good time meeting Billie Joe and Mike?" I asked, trying to keep the akward silence from coming.
"Yeah, I absolutely loved it, you guys are amazing!" she replied with a genuine smile.
"Thanks, hey, you're pretty awesome yourself!" I said with a sly smile. Kristie blushed and smiled. "Does your mom have as good a taste in music as you do?" I asked her jokingly.
"Mmm, sorta. She likes Def Leppard, Kid Rock, Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Guns & Roses, U2, and stuff like that. Pretty much old rock. Its ok in my opinion." she replied with a 'whatever' attitude.
"Thats cool. Just curious, does she like Green Day?" I asked, very cautiously.
"Some songs, when I'm not annoying her with it," Kristie laughed.
"Thats cool," I said nonchantly.
"Oh, speaking of my mom we gotta talk," Kristie said, getting serious.
"Woah, what do you mean?" I asked concerned,
"You're going out with her, I do have guidelines persay. You will treat her with respect, you will never ever upset her or make her cry. If you make her cry, so help me, I will hunt you down, kill you, skin you, and hang your head on my wall like a hunting trophy. Anyway, you're a good guy, you'll treat my mom kike a godess, right?" she quizzed expectantly.
"Yeah, your mom is my queen," I replied, reassuring Krystal of how important Angie is to me.
"Thats what I thought, but I lay these rules down for every guy. And one more thing, I doubt you will do this either, but I will get respect from you too, right?" Crystal looked at me, waiting for my answer. I saw an empty parking lot, pulled in, and stopped the car.
"Kristie, your mom is my world. As of today, you are a close friend of mine. Your mom will get anything she wants, including the love and respect she deserves. You will always have my respect, trust, and confidentiality. You can tell me anything. I will treat you like my own daughter, well, maby like my little sister and best friend. I will always be here for you and your mom." I told Kristie, as I looked her in the eye.
"Thanks Tre what you just said proved me right. You are the guy I think you are. Thank you for everything, past, present, and future." she said in an understanding tone while giving me a hug.
"Your welcome. Some guys look at a girls kids from a previous relationship as a nusance. I look at you as a friend, a daughter, and kinda like a little sister," I returned with a smile before starting the car again and getting back on the road.
"So. where are we going?" Kristie asked, while looking out the window.
"Since its 2:00 PM, we sorta missed lunch. You wanna get something anyway?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.
