Perfectly Imperfect, chapter 1

Grammies 2007, me Mike and Tre were there because once again American Idiot was recieving an award. We'd ended the tour almost two years ago and we were still getting awards for it. The nominees for our group were up next they were introducing the announcer which happened to be Dana Newman, a new comedian about 27, very funny. I had gone to see one of her shows to cheer me up after my divorce. She was a rebel and was always getting in trouble which is why I liked her so much. I watched as she seemed to jog onto stage quickly looking behind her, as if she were running from someone. She also had a pair of handcuffs dangling from one wrist. She smiled adjusted herself and spoke into the microphone.
"Hey how's everybody doing?" she began.
"Alright. The nominees for this years best rock album are..." she trailed off as the projected screen played and announced the nominees.
"And the winner is...Green Day Boulevard of Broken Dreams!" she yelled.
We shook some hands and made it to the stage where Dana handed each of us the grammies and then did something unexpected. She looked quickly to her left, which I did also to see what she was looking at and noticed three big policemen walking towards her, she quickly congradulated us and did a huge leap off of the pretty high stage and sprinted down the aisle slamming the doors opening looking both ways before dashing in one direction followed by numerous cops. I smiled thinking what an amazing girl but then jumped back into reality when I realized I was still on stage at the Grammies about to do an exceptance speech.
Hours later past the after party I decided, by chance, to stop by the local police station on the way back to the hotel. Maybe she got away or maybe she was in need of help. I parked my car and walked into the front desk of the police station.
"Excuse me sir. I was wondering if you apprehended a Ms. Dana Newman this evening?" I ask politly.
"Yea we sure did. She was a tough one chanced her practically around the whole city before we tackled her to the ground and brought her in." the plump over enthusizing officer told theatrically.
"What's her situation?" I asked wondering if she needed to be bailed out.
"Well, she can be let out on bail since we didn't find any drugs on her. But she better stay out of trouble otherwise next time she is going infront of a judge." he explained.
"What was she charged with?" I asked as the officer as he gathered her release papers and I reached for my wallet.
"Reckless endangourment...you don't want to know the details." he laughed.
I paid the bail, and he went to obtain her from her holding cell. Moments later he emerged with her infront of him handcuffed. He uncuffed her.
"This nice man her has bailed you out be nice and stay out of trouble." he said then walked away.
"That true?" she asked stepping infront of me.
"Yea." I said becoming suddenly nervous.
She was gorgeous. Straight black hair that just dusted her shoulders, smoky eyelinered eyes, tight black leather pants, matching leather jacket and a black cotton halter top and black converse. And there I stood in my tux from the award show.
"Congrats on winning." she spoke after a few moments of me checking her out.
"Thanks. So do you have a place to stay?" I asked.
"Nope. Flew in this morning haven't done much but get in trouble." she laughed.
"I've got a hotel room if you'd like to stay with me for a while. Maybe I can keep you out of trouble." I winked.
"Thanks but I couldn't impose on you like that." she declinded.
"Oh no. No imposition once so ever. I'm the one offering here remember." I said winking again.
"Thanks. I'm Dana Newman by the way." she extended her hand to me.
"I know I've been to one of your shows it was great." I said.
"I've been to one of yours too. It was amazing." she smiled.
"Shall we?" I asked leading her by placing my hand on the small of her back to my car where we talked about eachothers shows all the way to the hotel.
