A loss, Then A Gain. (A Billie Joe story), chapter 15
"Aaahhhh!" said Billie.
He sat up and looked around. He was sitting in bed, with Victoria lying next to him. They had arrived at Tre's house last night.
"Geez....what a horrible dream." wispered Billie.
He remembered his dream very clearly.
*Beginning of flashback*
Billie was walking down a long, dark hallway. He was looking at light at the end of it, and was trying to reach it. Suddenly, the light started faiding.
"Wait! Don't go out!" said Billie.
He started running towards the light, then finally reached it. The light was a room, with a distant figure standing in it.
"Hello?" asked Billie.
"Hi Billie." said a female voice.
"Victoria?" asked Billie.
"No." said the voice.
"Adrienne?" Billie asked.
Adrienne suddenly came into focus. She ran towards Billie and hugged him. Billie hugged her back.
"I missed you." she said.
"I missed you too." said Billie.
He tried to kiss her, but then something happened. Adrienne turned into a dark cloud, which was slowly expanding.
"Adie!?" called Billie.
The dark cloud got bigger, until Billie fell into it.
"What the fuck!?" asked Billie.
He felt himself falling, then landing on a cold, dark, stone floor. Billie looked up. He saw Victoria. She was bent over something, crying her heart out. Mike was next to her, also crying. Tre was watching them, standing away from them. Billie got up and ran over to them.
"Victoria?" he asked.
Then he saw what her and Mike were crying about. Lying in the floor, was Billie's dead body.
*End of flashback*
Billie shook his head. He decided to go downstairs and get a glass of water. He got up and walked downstairs.
"Mike?" asked Billie.
"Billie! What are you doing down here?" asked Mike.
"I had a really weird dream....and I was getting a glass of water." explained Billie.
"Oh. I see." said Mike.
"What are you doing down here?" asked Billie.
"There's a music video marathon on MTV. I wanted to see how many times they played us. So far, they've only played "Basket Case" and "Poprocks And Coke"." said Mike.
Billie nodded.
"So....." said Mike, sitting on the couch.
"Mind telling me about your really weird dream?"
Billie sat down next to him and told Mike the whole thing, with a lot of details.
"Wow." said Mike, after Billie finished.
"Mike, I don't know what this means. And I'm really confused about all of it." said Billie.
"Billie Joe, I think that you still have feelings for Adie, and you really want her back." said Mike.
"I know I still love Adrienne....but I can't leave Victoria. I'm the world to her! Didn't you see those tattoos!?" asked Billie.
Mike nodded.
"Oh look! They're playing "Good Ridance (Time Of Your Life)"! That makes three!" he said, pointing to the tv.
"Goodnight Mike, I hope you have the time of your life." joked Billie, going upstairs.
"Night Billie." said Mike.
Billie got into bed, and soon fell asleep.
*The next day*
Everyone got up early, for some strange unknown reason. There were all still at Tre's house, which was now out of food.
"WE DON'T HAVE ANY FOOD!?!?" asked Tre, screaming.
"Exactly." said Billie.
They were standing in Tre's kitchen, with Tre rummageing through the cabnets.
"NO COFFEE!?!?" asked Mike, starting to freak out.
"How about we go to McDonald's? They have breakfast, and Mike really needs some coffee." said Victoria.
They all agreed, and went to McDonalds.
"Sweet coffee." said Mike, as he got his coffee.
While they were eating, Billie's cell phone rang.
"Hello?" he asked.
"Hi Billie. It's Adie."
"Oh, hi Adie." said Billie, surprised to have Adrienne calling him.
"Billie, I was wondering if you could come over and watch Joey and Jaob for a while." said Adie.
"Sure, but for how long?" asked Billie.
"Oh, for about a week. Charles and I are going on our honeymoon. And we're taking Lizzie with us." said Adie.
"Hold on, who's Lizzie, AND YOU'RE ALREADY MARRIED!?" asked Billie.
"Lizzie is my daughter, you've seen her, and yes. Me and Charles got married last week." said Adie.
"Oh." said Billie.
"So could you come over and watch them?" asked Adie.
"Sure." said Billie.
"Ok. You know where it is. Be here by noon. Bye." said Adie, then hung up the phone.
Billie sighed and hung up his phone.
"I have to watch Joey and Jakob for a whole week." said Billie.
"Ooooooh! Oooooh! Can we come!?" asked Tre, raising his hand.
"As long as Adie doesn't find out." said Billie.
He looked at his watch. 11:30 AM.
"We'd better leave now, we need to be there by noon." said Billie.
"Can I get more coffee first?" asked Mike.
"Sure, Mike." said Billie.
Mike got his coffee, (in biggie size) and they went outside to get in the car.
"Holy shit!" yelled Tre.
"What? What?" asked Mike.
"My car's been stolen!" yelled Tre.
"We can file a police report later, come on. We gotta get to Adie's house." said Billie.
He started walking, and the others followed.
*At Adie's house, formerly Billie's house*
Billie rang the doorbell.
Adie came outside, holding baby Lizzie in her arms.
"Oh. I didn't know all of you were coming." she said, with a worried look on her face.
Charles came up beside her. Billie stared him down.
"Honey, are we ready to leave?" he asked Adie.
Billie glared at him. There was something he didn't like about Charles, and it was not that he was Adie's new husband.
"Alright. Joey and Jakob can tell you everything you need to know, and their school is closed, but still get them up early in the morning. They need to get their exercise, so make sure they play outside all morning. And make sure that they don't invite any girls over." said Adie.
"Jakob's 12 years old, he won't invite any girls over." said Billie.
"But Joey might. Keep a close eye on him." said Adie.
Charles shut the door, and him and Adie got in the car, and then they left for their trip.
"Let's go in!!" said Tre.
He ran through the door. The others followed him.
"KIDS! IT'S DAD!" yelled Billie.
Joey and Jakob ran down the steps.
"KIDS!" yelled Tre.
He ran over and gave them a bear hug.
"Tre! We can't breathe!" said Joey.
Tre let go.
"That's uncle Tre, to you." he said.
He sat up and looked around. He was sitting in bed, with Victoria lying next to him. They had arrived at Tre's house last night.
