A loss, Then A Gain. (A Billie Joe story), chapter 5
Tre drove them to his house. Billie was too upset to drive, so he sat in the backseat with Victoria. When they got home, Billie ran upstairs to his room. Victoria and Tre could hear him crying.
They all sat around all day. Then the phone rang at 3:00 AM. Billie was asleep on the couch, lightly snoring. Tre answered it.
"Hello?" he asked.
"Yes, we are calling about Mike Dirnt. He is ready to go home now."
"Ok. Thank you." said Tre, hanging up the phone.
"Who was that?" asked Victoria.
"The hospital. Mikey's coming home!" said Tre.
Victoria smiled. Tre got his keys and they left for the hospital, leaving Billie to sleep.
At The Hospital
Victoria and Tre got out of the car, and went to get Mike. They were shocked to see who was waiting with Mike.
"What is she doing here!?" asked Tre, pointing at Jenni.
"I dunno. She was here when I woke up." said Mike.
"Mike can stay at my place." said Jenni.
"No way! He's staying at my place!" said Tre.
Jenni looked at Mike for an answer. Mike stared into space.
"Come on Mike, we're leaving." said Victoria. Mike got up and followed Victoria and Tre out to the car. Jenni glared at them. She had a plan to get revenge.
Back at Tre's house
Victoria and Mike came in first. Tre had to find the car keys. He had accidentally dropped them under the car.
"Dude, where's Billie?" asked Mike.
Victoria pointed to him. Billie was still asleep on the couch. Then Tre came in.
"GODDAMN KEYS ARE STILL UNDER THE FUCKING CAR!!!" he yelled.
Billie Joe woke with a start. Mike went over and sat down next to him.
"Tre, why are you wet?" asked Victoria.
Tre was soaking wet.
"You can't hear the fucking storm out there?" asked Tre.
BANG! The electricity went out. Tre screamed like a little girl.
"I don't have candles." said Tre.
"Come on. We can go to my place. We have a backup genarator." said Victoria.
'What about the 'rents?" asked Mike.
"They're on vacation." said Victoria.
"Let's go!" said Billie.
Tre finally got the keys from under the car, and they left for Victoria's house. When they got there, the electricity was back on.
"You guys can stay here, we have guest bedrooms." said Victoria.
So they guys stayed there. Victoria showed them the basement.
"BIG SCREEN TV!" yelled Tre when he saw it.
Tre sat there, watching tv. Mike went upstairs to get something to eat, and Billie and Victoria went up to her room.
Victoria opened her door and Billie went inside.
"I'm stareing at myself." said Billie as he looked at her posters.
Victoria set on the bed. Billie sat down next to her. Victoria looked at him. Billie was stareing at her.
"What?" she asked.
Billie kissed her. She kissed him back, and before you know it, they're making out.
Back downstairs
Tre was asleep on the couch, while Mike was on his cell phone talking to Jenni.
"I'm sorry that Tre and Victoria were so mean to you." said Mike.
"Oh, it's ok. Wanna come over to my place?" asked Jenni.
"I'd love to, but I'm not supposed to go anywhere for a couple weeks." said Mike.
"And that means....?" asked Jenni.
"I can't travel anywhere for two weeks." said Mike.
"Alright. See you soon, baby." said Jenni.
"Bye." said Mike.
He hung up his cell phone.
Mike sat down on the other couch. He laid down and went to sleep.
The Next Morning
Victoria woke up. She was lying next to Billie Joe (who was still asleep), in her bed. She gently nudged Billie.
"Billie! Wake Up!" she wispered.
"Mmmmm...five more minutes..." mumbled Billie.
Victoria kissed him on the cheek. She got up and went downstairs.
"Morning sleepy-head." said Mike as she walked into the kitchen.
Mike was making breakfast while Tre was sitting at the table, reading the paper. Of course, Tre was reading the comics.
"So...did you get laid last night!?" asked Tre.
"Hell no! God, you're such a pervert!" said Victoria.
Tre gave her the middle finger and continued reading.
Victoria sat down at the table, and started reading the paper as well.
A few minutes later, Billie Joe came downstairs. Mike had just gotten breakfast ready.
"YAY! PANCAKES!" yelled Tre.
Victoria and Mike laughed. Billie sat down next to Victoria and rubbed his eyes.
"Did you get laid last night?" asked Tre.
Billie glared at him.
"Tre! Not while we're eating!" said Mike.
They all ate breakfast, Victoria helped Mike clean up.
"You're a really good cook." she told him.
"Thanks." said Mike. When they finished, they went into the living room with Billie and Tre.
Victoria's cell phone rang as she sat down.
"Hello?" she asked.
"Hi Vicky. It's dad."
"Dad! Hi!" said Victoria.
"We're at the airport. We'll be home soon. Bye honey." said her dad.
Victoria hung up her phone.
"Who was that?" asked Tre.
"That was my dad! The 'rents are gonna be here any minute!" yelled Victoria.
Everyone started cleaning up the place. A few minutes later, the doorbell rang.
"Quick! You guys go upstairs to my room!" wispered Victoria.
Billie led Mike and Tre up to Victoria's room.
Victoria opened the door to see her dad, David, and her abusive stepmom, Katrina. You see, Victoria's mom had died of cancer when she was 13. And Katrina had been her stepmom since she was 14.
"Hi Victoria. Everything been okay?" asked David.
Victoria nodded. David and Katrina walked past her to unpack. Victoria ran up to her bedroom.
In Victoria's room
Victoria opened the door. Billie, Mike, and Tre were sitting in the floor.
"We gotta get outta here!" said Tre as Victoria shut the door.
"Tre, this a four story house. We're on the fourth floor. You can't escape. Besides, my parents are right downstairs!" said Victoria.
"So we're gonna have to live in here?" asked Mike.
"Until Next Monday, when the 'rents go back to work." said Victoria.
"Today's Thursday, right?" asked Billie.
"Yeah." said Mike.
"Do you have any siblings?" Tre asked Victoria.
"Yeah. A little bro, he's 8. A little sis, she's 7. And a big sis, she's 21. And she's a total teenie. Watch out, Tre. She has a love shrine dedicated to you." said Victoria.
"I know how you feel. I had six siblings." said Billie.
Then there was a knock at the door.
"Quick! Hide!" said Victoria.
"Where?" asked Tre.
"Anywhere!" said Victoria.
Mike hid in the closet, Billie and Tre hid under the bed.
Victoria opened the door.
It was her sister, Samantha, who was 21.
"I swear that I just herd Tre Cool talking!" she said.
"Must have been your imagination." said Victoria.
Sam glared at Victoria and left. Before Victoria could shut the door, her little bro and sis came in.
"Hi!" said her little brother, Jordan, who was 8.
"I hear people breathing..." said Isabella, who was 7.
Victoria started to sweat, Issy could hear them!
"I'll see you guys later..." said Victoria, ushering them out. She shut the door.
Mike came out of the closet and Tre came out from under the bed.
"Whoa, where's Billie?" asked Victoria.
"I think I'm stuck!" yelled Billie from under the bed.
Tre laughed.
Mike and Victoria got down in the floor and pulled Billie out.
"Thanks." panted Billie.
"Anytime." said Victoria, sitting down next to Billie.
