A loss, Then A Gain. (A Billie Joe story), chapter 7

The guys got their stuff together and left, leaving Victoria all alone. Victoria went up to her bedroom and got her iPod.

"No Apologies..." she sung out loud as "Noots" by Sum 41 played.

Then the phone rang. Victoria turned her iPod off and answered it.

"Hello?" she asked.

"Hi!" said Tre.

"Um... Hi Tre. What's up?" asked Victoria.

"Yeah, um, we got a real problem over here, Vicky." said Tre.

"Like... What?" she asked.

"Well, Adie came over to drop off Joey and Jakob for the weekend, and she had her new boyfriend with her, and Billie got really pissed, and they had a big fight, and Billie ran up to his room, he was crying, and Joey and Jakob are lonely, and Mike's not here 'cause he had to go visit his daughter, and I'm here alone with Joey and Jakob and I need some help. Could you come over and help me look after them?" asked Tre, panting.

"Breathe Tre! Breathe!" said Victoria.

"Could you just come over here?" asked Tre.

"Sure. I'll be over soon." said Victoria.

"Ok. And when you get here, try to cheer Billie up. He's down in the dumps again." said Tre, then he hung up.

Victoria sighed and hung up the phone. She saw a piece of paper on the table. She read it aloud.

"Dear V., me and mom are on a business trip. Sam is with us, and Issy and Jordan are at grandma's. No parties! Love, Dad."

"WHOO-HOO!" yelled Victoria.

She packed her suitcase, hopped on her bike, and rode off to Tre's house.

*At Tre's house*

Tre was waiting outside for Victoria.

"My 'rents are gone for a while. Can I stay here?" asked Victoria.

"Sure!" said Tre.

Victoria put her bike up, and followed Tre in the house.

"Billie's upstairs." said Tre as he shut the door.

Victoria looked around. Two young boys were sitting on the couch. Victoria walked over to them.

"Hi. You guys must be Joey and Jakob." she said.

"Yeah, who are you?" asked Joey.

"Victoria. I'm a friend of your dad's." she said.

"Are you his girlfriend?" asked Jakob.

"Well you two are little angels." said Victoria.

"How old are you guys?" she asked.

"I'm 15, and Jakob's 10." said Joey.

"How old are you?"

"I'm 17. I'll be eighteen in 3 months." replied Victoria.

Joey's eyes widened.

"Wanna go out with me?" he asked.

"Hey Joey, I kissed your dad. I don't wanna go out with his son." said Victoria.

"You are dad's girlfriend!" yelled Jakob.

"I'm his ex!" yelled Victoria.

Tears filled her eyes on the subject.

"Hey guys, stop tormenting Vicky. She's had a rough time with Billie, ok?" said Tre.

Victoria stood up and went over to Tre.

"I'm gonna go talk to Billie. Can you explain what happened to them?" asked Victoria.

Tre nodded. Victoria smiled at him and went upstairs.

"Don't get lovey-dubby with dad!" yelled Jakob.

"JAKOB!" yelled Tre.

Victoria laughed and continued to go upstairs.

A few minutes later, Victoria was right outside Billie's door. She could hear him crying. She didn't plan to kiss him, or anything like that. She just wanted to make him feel better. Victoria still had feelings for Billie, but she wasn't going to tell him.

Victoria knocked on the door. There was no answer. She opened it.

Billie was lying on his bed, face down, crying. A photograph of him and Adie on their wedding day was lying on the floor, with other photos of them around it.

Victoria shut the door and walked over to Billie. She sat down next to him.

"Billie, you okay?" she asked.

Billie looked up. His black eye-liner was all smeared, and his eyes were red and puffy. He looked terrible.

"What do you want?" he asked in a shakey voice.

"I just wanted to know if you were alright. Tre told me about Adrienne coming over." said Victoria.

Billie sat up and scooted next to her.

"Her boyfriend, he's a bastard. He used to be a good friend of Tre's. And Tre told me that he's done some really bad things to girls. Oh god, I hope that Adie's ok." said Billie.

"You still miss her, don't you?" asked Victoria.

Billie nodded. He started crying again.

"Billie..." said Victoria.

Billie cried harder. Victoria looked at him. She couldn't take it. Victoria pulled him over and hugged him.

"Thanks." said Billie.

"I met Joey an' Jakob." said Victoria, trying to change the subject.

Billie looked at her.

"Joey treated you like shit, didn't he?" asked Billie.

Victoria nodded.

"He's been that way ever since I moved out. And he's starting to rub off on Jakob." said Billie.

"You know, since you're so depressed, we really need something to cheer you up." said Victoria.

"Like...?" asked Billie.

"PARTY!" yelled Victoria.

They ran downstairs to tell Tre.

"Hold on, what happens to Joey and Jakob?" asked Victoria.

"They can party with us!" said Billie.

They told Tre about the party. Then they called everyone they knew. Billie Joe was sure to call Mike, so said he'd be over ASAP.

A few minutes later, Tre's whole house was filled with people. Tre ordered several pizzas and had plenty of booze for everyone.

"Great party!" said Jason. (Yes, he's Jason White from Green Day)

"Thanks!" said Tre.

Mike came a few minutes later. Billie was mad that he had brought Jenni with him.

"Hey! Dancing contest!" yelled Tre.

People scooted all of the tables together. Most all of the people who were drunk got up and danced.

Joey and Jakob were having the time of their lives. Jakob was dancing the night away, and Joey had found a girl that he liked. Billie forgot that they were there.

At 10:00 at night, Billie and Victoria got really drunk. They got up on the table and danced with each other. Tre saw them.

"Hey Mikey! Come 'ere!" he yelled Mike.

Mike came running over.

"Look at those two." said Tre, pointing at Billie and Victoria.

"Mr. And Mrs. Armstrong!" yelled Mike.

Tre and Mike burst out laughing.

At 2:00 AM, the party was over. People were going home, and several would get D. U. I. 's. After everyone had left, the guys and Victoria just sat in the living room.

"Great party!" hiccuped Tre, as he drank a 12th cheech.

"Hey Jake, where's Joey?" asked Billie.

"Oh, he's upstairs, making out with a girl from the party." said Jakob.

"Hmmmm... Making out..." said Billie, looking at Victoria.

Victoria was really drunk, and had no idea what Billie was thinking.

"Mr. And Mrs. Armstrong!" yelled Mike, who was lying in the floor, piss-drunk.

"Whoo-hoo!" yelled Victoria, kissing Billie on the cheek.

Jakob laughed his head off.

In a few minutes, Billie Joe and Victoria were making out, with everyone watching them.

"Get a room!" yelled Mike.

"No! Stay! I wanna watch!" said Tre, with his trademark perverted smile.

Jakob had went to bed, and Joey had too. His new girlfriend had gone home.

"Hey Mike, where's Jenni?" asked Tre.

"Um... Last time I saw her was when we came over." said Mike.

"I'm right here!" said Jenni.

"Some idiot locked me in the bathroom."

Mike and Tre laughed their heads off. Victoria and Billie were still making out.

"Ok, Jenni. This is my house. Go home." said Tre.

"Yeah, go home!" said Mike.

Jenni glared and gave the middle finger, then left.

"I'm going to bed." said Tre.

He staggered up the stairs, sipping his cheech.

"Alright, you two. Go up to Billie's room." said Mike.

Billie and Victoria ran upstairs.

Mike turned off the tv and went upstairs.

Tre was outside Billie's door, listening.

"Mike, come and hear this!" Tre whispered.

Mike listened in too.

"Billie's gettin laid!" whispered Tre.

And he was. Victoria was Billie were so drunk, they had no idea what they were doing. But they were doing it.

"When's the wedding?" whispered Mike.

Tre giggled like a 10-year-old girl.
