St. Jimmy's Girlfriend, chapter 4

I woke up later than everyone else. I could hear Joey watching TV in the living room and Jakob giggling in the yard with his friends. A pot clanged in the kitchen. Adi was up. A guitar wanged in the room next door. So was Billie.

I got out of bed and walked to the kitchen. Adi wasn't there anymore. I heard her laugh in the living room with Billie. I smiled and began to walk there. I passed the calender hung up by the door. It was the end of the month. My eyes got wide.

Not only was it the end of the month, I hadn't had my "time of the month" yet. I don't think I could be. I hope I'm not.

The expression was still on my face when I walked into the living room to see Billie, Adi, and Joey sitting on the couch.

"Morning, Kae,"Billie said smiling. "What's wrong?"Adi asked. "Ummm,"I said, looking at Joey,"Joey, do you htink I could talk with your parents alone for a minute?" "Sure,"he said and walked out.

I sat next to Adi. "What's wrong?"she asked again. "I... I think I'm pregnant,"I said looking at my feet.
"Are you sure?"
"I don't know. But I think I am."

Billie wasn't looking directly at my face. "What?"I asked. He pointed to my chest. "They're bigger,"he said. I let out a yelp and crossed my arms. "Billie!"Adi yelled, slapping his hand down.

I started to cry. "You should be happy!"Adi said smiling. "I know!"I said through tears,"But..."
"What?"
"It's..."
"You can tell us."
"I'm trying!"
"Then say it."
"I can't!"
"Kaley, chill! You're sounding like you're in labor!"
"I have a kid inside of me!"
"Is that it?"
"No."

We sat in silence for minute or two. I stopped crying. "Are you ready?"Billie asked. I nodded and sniffed. I took a deep breath and said,"It's Jimmy's baby."
