Rachina, Green Day And I, chapter 11
* Kym’s POV *
I was ready to tell Rachel what happened with Danny. I explained to her, what had happened, my emotional side of the story, and how I thought my life was over.
“Kym, no offence, but I think your overreacting a bit. I mean, you don’t know how Billie Joe took the situation, and I’m pretty sure that if you sat him down, and explained to him what happened, he’d understand.� Rachel was probably right, she always gave the best advice.
“Yea, ok. Can you please pass me the phone cuz I can’t stand up? I tried before but I just can’t. It’s too painful.� I asked Rachel.
“Yea, sure.� Rachel said and passed me the cordless phone. She then went into my room, found my phone book, and dictated his home number to me. I heard the phone ringing.
“Hello?� Billie Joe answered the phone.
“Hi, it’s me, Kym,� I said, hoping he wouldn’t hang up on me.
“Listen, Kym, I don’t need you to explain to me what happened, I saw you making out with that guy ok.� Jeez, he sounded pretty upset.
“No, wait, I wasn’t pashing him!� I tried to explain.
“Yea, well then what were you doing? Guessing what he had for breakfast? I’m not dumb Kym, I saw everything.� And then he hung up on me.
“Rachel, he wouldn’t listen and he hung up on me!� I wailed, close to tears. I was so upset.
“Kym, I’m going out with Tre for lunch today, do you want me to explain to him what happened and see if Billie Joe will listen to him?� Rachina offered, she’s such a good friend.
“Oh my god thanks so much Rachina!!! Would you do that? Please?� I begged.
“Of course I will! I’ll do anything to help! I know how much you love him,� she said smiling.
“Thanks so much!� I said, and I couldn’t help but smile too, even though it hurt.
“Maybe if you told him that he’s the first guy I’ve ever loved, he’ll understand how much he means to me,�
*CONVERSATION BETWEEN TRE AND BILLIE JOE*
* Billie Joe’s POV *
“Hey Billie Joe, I need to talk to you about something very important,� Tre said, and it sounded serious.
“Ok, shoot.�
“Well, it’s about Kym. Before you interrupt me, Rachel sat me down and explained to me what happened. Since you won’t listen to Kym or Rachel, she thought you might listen to me, and you should.� Oh great, now Tre was on their side.
“Tre, why are you on her side? She cheated on me and I don’t need you to justify it.�
“Just listen to me, and stop being so stubborn, ok? You don’t even know the story. Her ex boyfriend, Danny, showed up and expected her to just take him back. She didn’t, so he sort of kissed her and you might not have noticed, but he held her arms behind her back so she couldn’t do anything about it. After you sped off, she attempted to beat him up, but she was so emotionally crushed from your actions, that she realised she had nothing to fight for. She just collapsed and he beat the hell out of her with a wooden plank, and left her bloody, beaten and bruised semi conscious body lying in the driveway. When Rachel came home, she saw Kym just lying in the driveway with blood and bruises everywhere just crying her eyes out silently. When she talked to Kym, she said that you were the best thing in her life and now she’d lost it, probably forever. Don’t you see? You made her happier than ever before, and she just bums around the house all day thinking about you.� Wow, I couldn’t believe it, she really did love me, and I didn’t believe her when she said she wasn’t cheating on me.
“Thanks so much Tre, I’ve got to go somewhere and straighten something out.� I was going to see if Kym would take me back.
“Go get her tiger!� Tre yelled as I ran out the door and jumped into my car. I hoped it wasn’t too late. As I drove to Kym’s house, all I could think about was what an idiot I had been.
