She's my Fucking Daughter! I Have to See Her!, chapter 10

"Oh my God," I whispered, "Are you kidding? Please tell me you are."
"Sorry," he said with a smirk on his face. Never before in my life had I been so scared. My knees shook. I couldn't stand anymore. I was afraid if I fell, he might think I was trying to escapse and shoot me.

"Now give me the money," he said.
"I can't," said Debbie.
"Fine then,"he said, and pulled the trigger. I screamed as she fell to the ground.
"You bastard!" I yelled, "She's my only friend!"
"Ooh," he said, "Looks like we've got us a little pottymouth here."

"It's okay,"Debbie said from the floor,"He just skimmed my shoulder." I looked down at her. He did, but it was still bleeding pretty badly.

In a few minutes, we could hear sirens outside and someone shout over a foghorn,
"Come out with your hands up. We've got the place surrounded." "Come here, you," he said and grabbed my arm. He dragged me out over the counter and held me up to the window with the gun to my head.
"Please don't shoot me," I whispered, "I've never even met my father before."
"I'm not gonna shoot ya," he said, "I just need you." He let me go. He walked over to the counter and dragged out Debbie. She was screaming. He threw her outside. "Now lock the door,"he said to me. I stood there. "Now!"

***Billie's POV***

I sat on the couch next to Tre as he flipped the TV on. "Eh,"I said, "I don't wanna watch this shit. Turn it to the news." He flipped the channel.
"Now here's some truth, huh, Jillie Boe?" Tre said, "Billie? Billie?" I couldn't speak. My eyes were glued to the television.

Adeline's Circle K was on the news. "What?" Tre said," You know that place or something?"
"Yeah," I said, "Adeline works there. Turn it up." He turned it up and I sat on the edge of my seat as the reporter stationed there talked:

"I'm here outside a local Circle K gas station where there seems to be a hostage situation inside. A young girl, Scarlet Jhonson, nicknamed 'Nobody,' has been taken under control inside by none other than Isaac Belle."

"Oh my God,"I said,"Scarlet..." He walked over to a girl holding an icepack on her shoulder:

"Debbie, is it?"he asked her. "Yes,"she said.
"What exactly happened inside?"
"Well, Nobody and I were just goofing around inside because we had no customers, and he came in telling us to give him all the cash in the register."
"Did you?"
"No. That's when he shot me. All he did was skim me, though. But Nobody's still in there! You have to help her!"
"We're doing all we can."
He turned to the camera.
"This has been Harold Rust, back to you."

They turned to a room where a man and a woman were sitting behind a desk. "Wow," the woman said, "That's pretty intense. Now here's Lance Turro with the weather. Lance?"

I stood up. "Doing all they can?! Doing all they can?!" I screamed, "They just cut to the fucking weather!" Billie,"Tre said, "I'm sure the police are doing some-"
"No they're not!! My daughter's in there and they're just going to stand there and do nothing?!"
"Well, the world's fucked up. You know that."
"Shut up, Tre! I don't need you trying to make me laugh right now!"
"Who said I was trying to make you laugh?!"
"Just shut up!"

I walked to the door.
"Where are you going?"
"To help my daughter."

***Nobody's POV***

He put the gun on the counter and sat down on the ground. "So,"he said,"What's your name?" "Scarlet,"I said,"But everyone calls me Nobody."
"Nobody? That's pretty depressing. How'd you get it?"
"My mom started calling me that. Then the kids at school. It just sort of stuck."
"You're parents are fucked up, too, huh?"
"Well, yeah. My mom is. But like I said, I haven't met my dad."
"Yeah. My old man was never around when I was a kid. My mom died when I was eight."
"Oh, I'm sorry."
"Eh, it's okay. I don't miss 'er."

I sat down as far away from him as I could. He seemed okay, but, I didn't want to take my chances. "When do you plan on letting me go?"I asked after a while. "I don't know. As soon as they say they won't take me in," he said.
"You know they're not gonna do that, right?"
"Eh. I don't know. Could happen."
"You watch too much television."
He let out a chuckle.
"I think I'm going to like you, Nobody."

You don't expect a criminal to call me by my real name, do you?

***Billie's POV***

The parking lot to the Circle K had been blocked off so I got out of my car and walked. Tre came with me. He tried to stop me, but I wouldn't let him. She's my daughter. I have to save her.

"Billie,"Tre said walking next to me,"Do you really think this is a good idea?" "No,"I said, marching foward,"But when have you ever seen me do something that was a 'good idea?'"

We tried to make it past the police. It didn't happen. "Stop right there, punk,"he said,"Oh! Hi, Mr. Armstrong! My daughter's a huge fan of yours. Could you sign this for her?" He pushed a paper into my hand. "Sir,"I said,"Not to be rude or anything, but, fuck no! That's my daughter in there! You fuckers aren't doing anything about it!"
"Y-your daughter?"
"Yes, m-my daughter."
I mocked him. As you can tell, I'm pissed.
"I didn't know you had a daughter."
"Yeah, you and two million other people in the world including her. Now are you going to let me in there or not?"
"We can't let you in there."
"Well, let me do something!"
"Alright. The best we can do is this."

He shoved a foghorn into my hand. I rolled my eyes. Well, it's as far as I'm gonna get. "Nobody!"I yelled through it,"This is Billie Joe Armstrong speaking. I-I'm your father."

***Nobody's POV***

"So,"I said,"What's your name?"
"Isaac."
"I've always liked that name."
"Thanks."

He got up walked to the glass door on the other side of the store to get a glass of milk. He bent over. There was a tattoo on his back. It was a poem to his parents. I could only make two lines, though. "Let the pain and sorrow stop/ Let the tears cease to drop,"it said. It made me want to cry. But I didn't. I couldn't. I've been crying too much.

I yawned. "You remind me of my daughter,"he said.
"You have kids?"
"Only her. She's about your age. She's a beautiful girl. My ex-wife won't let me see her, though."
"Wow. That's sad."
"Yeah. I'd give anything just to spend one day with her."
"I'd give anything just to meet my dad."

Then, someone came over the foghorn outside. "Nobody!" they said, "This is Billie Joe Armstrong speaking."
"What the fuck?" I said, "Can I look out the window?" He nodded with the bottle in his mouth. I got up and walked to the window. Sure enough, Billie Joe Armstrong and Tre Cool were standing there. Then Billie uttered three words I'd been waiting so long to hear.

"I'm your father."
