A Day On The Green, chapter 15
‘Steph can i please speak to you?', Tre asked walking up to the tired girl. He slipped his arms around her waist and kissed her on the neck.
'Tre don’t', Steph said, pushing him away. Tre looked at her wondering.
'Didn’t you get my letter?', he asked, pushing her hair behind her ears.
'No what letter?', she asked looking at him.
"The letter I put in your locker last night after the battle?" He said continuing to kiss her neck moving lower and lower with every kiss.
"No Tre I didn't and I told you to quit go find Laura because I need to find Billie" She said as she shoved him off and ran off to find Billie. Tre grabbed her arm and turned her back.
‘Steph please don’t, we need to talk’, Tre told her, pulling her in closer.
‘Talk about what?’, she asked him. He lifted her chin with his finger tips and kissed her lip on lip. Steph shut her eyes and let the kiss take her. Tre made his tongue roll around her mouth, not breaking apart until Steph pulled away. He stared into his eyes, making her weak at the knees.
‘I have to go find Billie’, she told him bluntly pushing him away and walking off.
-Steph’s locker-
Steph opened her locker up once again to see if Tre had left her a letter. He was telling the truth. There it was. She picked it up quickly and ripped it open, to find the contents of Tre’s letter almost heart breaking.
My dear sweet Steph,
These past few weeks were the best times of my life. I know that it started because I thought I loved Laura but everyday I spent with you made me realize you were the one and only girl for me. I wanted you to know that I broke up with Laura I love you and no one else please say you feel the same way because I don’t think that I could take it if you told me you loved another person.

Steph threw the letter back into her locker and slammed the door shut on it. She rested her head again the metal door slamming her fist up against it as well. If only she had gotten to her locker a few minutes later she would have seen Tre and sorted this out. Now she had to face the fact she was inlove with two people. Two boys. Best friends. She turned around and slid herself down the lockers onto the floor. She put her head on her knees and started crying again. Billie was making his way down the hall as he found her.
‘Steph, babe what’s wrong?’, he asked her, sitting next to her. He put his arms around her to comfort her.
‘Nothing just, nothing’, she told him, thinking about the letter.
‘Tre’s been looking for you’, Billie informed her, and ‘He said it was important’, he finished. Steph looked up at him though her tear stained eyes and whimpered nestling her head onto his chest.
‘Billie, you believed every word I said yesterday didn’t you?’, she asked him gulping her words. Billie nodded and kissed her on the cheek to show he understood.
‘I should go find Tre’, she told Billie, getting up. Billie stood up as well hugging her before she left.
‘Now be careful, and don’t do anything stupid’, he told her letting her go. Ste nodded and walked off to go find Tre, not realizing she was about to make the biggest mistake of her life.
-Outside in the yard with Tre-
‘Tre please just wait and talk to me’, Steph pleaded following him.
‘No just leave me alone’, Tre told her furiously walking away quicker and quicker.
‘Tre please just wait’, she pleaded following him even more, ‘I read your letter. I know how you feel now’.
‘Like you care about the way I feel’, Tre told her sluggish. Steph grabbed his hand and turned him round so his back was against one of the building walls.
‘Tre..’, she said quietly looking into his eyes. He searched around trying to find the answer to why she was like this.
‘What?’, he asked her, letting her keep grip of him. Steph stepped closer to him and brought herself close enough to him so that she could whisper what she had to tell him...
