What happens When Your Idol Is Your Dad?, chapter 6

"So why not start over again?" Billie pulled me back into the room.

"Guys this is my daughter Amy," Billie smiled proudly, which made me feel a twinge of guilt.

I hung back behind Billie.

"Amy this is my wife Adie but I call her Adie."

Adie just stared at me.

"This is Joey he's 13," Billie pointed the boy out but he frowned at me.

"This is Jake he's 11," Jake seemed the only one that was a bit happy to have me here.

"So are you're my sister?" Jake asked.

"I guess," I gave a weak smile.

"This is Mike and Hero, Hero is just a nickname her real name is Estelle," Billie pointed out.

I just nodded.

"Here we have Tre, Roma and Frankito."

I nodded again.

"Well that's everyone you hungry?"

"No."

"But you didn't eat at the hospital."

"I'm fine, I just need to practice."

"Yeah that's fine there's an amp over there," Billie went and brought it over for me.

"Thanks."

I took my bass off my back and settled it down next to me. I then searched in my bag for the lead and a pick. I needed to tune my bass. I plugged in and tuned it up.

Everyone continued to stare at me.

"What's with all the stares I'm only tuning my bass?" I asked.

Once my bass was tuned I open my guitar case and pulled out Bullet.

"You have the same guitar as Dad." Jake announced.

"Yeah my Mom gave it to me when I was eight," I smiled and plugged in my guitar.

I tuned it and began to play some stuff on it to warm up, followed by my music.

"You play the guitar in your band?"

"No, Billie plays lead, I sing and play backing." I spoke looking up from my guitar but still kept playing.

"You gonna sing for us?" Jake asked.

"No." I grinned.

"Please what about one of Dads songs?" Jake smiled sweetly.

"Erm no I'm ok with mine."

"Please?" Jake begged.

I rolled my eyes.

"You're worse than my brother!"

"You have another brother?" Billie asked raising his eyebrow.

"Yeah he's only my half brother but I grew up with him, his at college now."

"What song do you want then?" I reluctantly gave in to Jake's pestering.

"Jesus of Suburbia."

"No I'm not playing a 10 minute song!"

"It's nine actually!" Joey pouted.

"Well I'm not play a NINE minute song then!" I protested

"Please?"

"If I play that song I'm not playing anything else after it."

"Ok."

I played some warm up cord and took a deep breath.

"Stand up then, you sing better when you stand up," Billie Joe gesture for me to get out of the chair.

I stood up and played the open cords.
