"So, where are we going?" Angel asked.

"We're not going anywhere until you and Firebird hide your wings, we can't exactly fly there," Songbird told her children.
"Oh yeah," the teenagers said. They hid their wings with no problem and smiled. Their mother nodded at them and they all got in her car.
Mike rode with Songbird and her kids, the rest just went to Billie's BMW. No one talked the whole time they followed Adie. But Angel and Firebird just kept staring at Mike and then at Songbird. They were always trading glances and Mike was laying soft kisses on Songbird's cheek.
"Mike," Songbird whined.
"What?" he chuckled.
"The kids are in the back, probably thinking this is disgusting, please, let's just save it for later?"
"Ok, I'm sorry," and that was the only thing they said.

"What's good here?" Adie asked while looking through a menu.
"They have good salad," Firebird said. Everyone looked at him strangely.
"What? Firebird and I are vegan," Angel said.
"Whatever, I'm not saying anything," Tré simply said. Songbird traded glances with Tré, what's up with him?
"So, I want to know how you and Mike met," Adie said.
"Aww Adie," Billie Joe sighed.
"What? She just wants to learn something new," Songbird said.
"No, she wants something romantic, which that's the whole story," Billie Joe replied.
"Whatever, I'll tell our story," Songbird said.
"It's a strange one though," Mike warned.
"Ok, go ahead," Adie said while sipping her water.
"Well we met at a choir competition, my friend Kirsten and I were in show choir and regular choir so we were practicing for show choir. We saw Billie Joe and Mike, staring at us, like everyone else, as a teenager, I had unbelievable upper arm strength," Songbird started and giggled.
"Show off," Billie Joe mumbled. Mike decided to take over the story of them.
"And when we found them, to tell them how good they are, Billie Joe poked Songbird and she went crazy, then we shared a coffee and she told us about her abusive ex boyfriend. Then she told us all about the school and we told her our.. Ahem, gifts. She took me under her wing."
Billie Joe laughed and everyone looked at him weirdly.
"Literally," Billie Joe giggled after he was done. Everyone laughed along with him and then their food came.
"So, how big do you think our wing spans will be Mom?" Firebird asked quietly so everyone close could hear.
"Well Firebird, I'm guessing yours will be very large, but since your father didn't have wings, maybe about the same as mine."
"What about mine?" Angel asked.
"Since you take after your father's genes, human wise, maybe about seven feet," Songbird answered.
"We don't even know our father, how are we supposed to tell who we look like?" Firebird snapped.
Mike went pale and sighed softly.
"Sometimes, the answers are right in front of you," Billie Joe said while glancing at Mike.
Mike just ignored Billie's stare and ate some chicken salad.
"I'm going to the restroom," Songbird said.
"I'll come with you," Adie said while grabbing her purse and walking to the restroom with Songbird.
"So, when are you planning to tell them?" Adie asked Songbird.
"Tonight if possible."
"How are you going to do that?"
"I don't know, maybe just tell them, they're used to my bluntness, so I'll just tell them."
"Really?"
"Well, yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if they already know."

"Tonight was fun, I'm glad I got to see you guys again," Songbird said to everyone. Mike nodded and grabbed my hand and slipped a piece of paper into my hand. I kissed everyone's cheek except Adie's and they drove away. Firebird and Angel went to their bedrooms and did whatever they wanted. I opened the note and it said;
Meet me at the Sparkling Hotel at midnight, I want to see you.
