"Relax, I've Got You.", chapter 4
"Professer X, I have someone I want you to meet," Songbird yelled while leading Mike, Billie Joe and Tre' around their new school. Kirsten smiled broadly at the professer as he walked to them and smiled at the boys.
"I'm pleased to meet you, I am Professer X, nice to meet you Micheal Pritchard, Billie Joe Armstrong, and Frank Edwin Wright III," he said. The boys grumbled and the professer laughed.
"I'm just kidding you, I know your nicknames," he smiled at the boys. But then he turned sober and looked at Songbird, "Fly around campus with a couple of others, they need friends."
She nodded and bowed, "Yes professer."
"SONGBIRD!" a voice appeared. Mike's hands flamed, Tre' grew teeth and Billie Joe's eyes clouded out of fear. Songbird put a hand on Billie Joe's and Tre's shoulder and a wing on Mike's.
"What do you want Jack?" she growled. Green Day looked at each other, so this was Jack. Jack had brown hair, sort of long, and an award winning smile. It was obvious how Songbird could be attracted to him.
"I've missed you forever, where have you been?" he asked her. Songbird's nails turned into talons and her wings went our their full span, which, by the way, very large. Jack didn't seem frightened and went to hug her. Her talons went to dig into his skin so he backed off. Green Day laughed and Mike's flames went down.
"Does that hurt?" she asked Mike while pointing to his hands.
He smiled and sighed, "Everytime."
Songbird hugged him, without digging her talons into his skin and sighed, "I understand."
He nodded as she groaned in pain when her talons went to nails. Kirsten's eyes went soft as her face was sweating and she was breathing heavily.
"Why does that hurt so much?" Billie Joe asked.
Songbird looked at him, "It's my curse, when I was little, my parents took me to the doctors to get 'the cure', I only got a fourth of it when I finally broke free, so now I have to pay because I only got one fourth of the cure."
"I thought they banned the cure," Mike asked.
"It still is, my parents did it illegally because they were afraid of have a 'monster' for a daughter."
"That must've been horrible."
"It was believe me."
"Do we live here now, like you?"
"Only if you want."
"I do, believe me."
"Cool, we're going to have to share a room, there's no more left."
"That's cool with me."
"So I guess it's you and me baby?" Billie Joe asked Kirsten. She giggled and nodded. He chuckled and nuzzled his nose to her neck. Tre' was the only that left out until he saw her, a beautiful black haired beauty walk to to Songbird. Songbird smiled at her and they were having a silent conversation and then Kirsten, Songbird, and the girl laughed. The girl looked at Tre' then at Songbird, they were having another silent conversation, Songbird looked at Tre' and nodded at the girl.
"Tre', this is Isabella, or Ivy if you wanna call her that," Songbird said smiling.
Tre' looked at her, confused. "Why do they call you that?"
The girl looked at a plant and it grew a large amount. He smiled at her and she began to talk to him, "Wanna walk around campus? I'll show you around?" she said. Tre' gulped and nodded. The girl smiled again, "Good, I'll see ya Songbird."
Mike took Songbird's hand, "Can we trust her?"
Songbird nodded and said, "She's been my friend ever since 4th grade, you can trust her."
"Good," Mike replied while kissing her. She smiled and put her arm around his waist and he put his arm around her shoulders.
The rest of the day was spent with girls crowding around the new boys and Kirsten and Songbird traded glances. There was one girl that made all four of them sick. She wasn't to be trusted, Mike and Billie Joe learned this after Songbird was close to attacking her. Her wingspan went far so it was past Mike, who still had his arm her shoulder. The girl smirked at Songbird and Kirsten as she flew away.
"Who was that?" Mike asked.
"A girl that needs to mind her own business."
"Name please?"
"Tornado."
"Can't imagine why."
"She's spoiled rotten."
"I can tell."
"Come on, I'll take you to our room."
"Oooo, I like the sound of that."
"You would!"
They got to Songbird (and Mike's) room and unpacked.
"I guess Professer X really trusts you with me and you sharing a room and all?" Mike asked Songbird.
"I've been here since I was six."
"Wow, that's like 9 years!"
"I know, the professer is like a father to me."
"I can understand why."
Songbird just started bawling, Mike looked at her and held her.
"Ssssh, why are you crying?"
"Why do you love me?"
"What?"
"I asked why do you love me?"
"Well, because you're smart, funny, and I feel like your the only one that truly understands pain like I do, and plus you're a coffee addict." She giggled and Mike wiped away her tears.
"Stop crying, there's no reason to cry."
"I just feel guilty."
"Why?"
"The whole Jack thing."
"Don't.... he's not worth your time or energy.... I am!" She giggled again and hugged Mike.
"Come on, I'll take you to your first class."
"Dang, I thought I would get out of that."
"Nope, can't get it past me."
They walked to their first class, history of the bird people. Professer X watched them come and and smiled and told them to sit on one of the couches (yes they actually have couches, not chairs.) They sat on a loveseat, cuddling next to each other while paying attention. Everyone was looking at Songbird jealously and gave her evil stares.
They left class and looked at their watches, eleven p.m.? It lasted that long?
"If I have to hear another word about bird people, I'm going to explode!" Mike said while collapsing on the bed.
Songbird giggled while saying, "You know they originated in Australia?" Mike gave her an evil glare but smirked and got up.
"Mike what are you doing?" she said while giggling and backing into a corner. He picked her up and started to tickle her. She giggled and the rest of the night was spent chasing each other around the room, then finally, they went to sleep with Mike holding Songbird in an embrace.
"I'm pleased to meet you, I am Professer X, nice to meet you Micheal Pritchard, Billie Joe Armstrong, and Frank Edwin Wright III," he said. The boys grumbled and the professer laughed.
