"Relax, I've Got You.", chapter 5
"Mike, we have to get up," Songbird moaned.
"Why?" Mike whined.
"Classes."
"Your hair smells like berries."
"Thank you for noticing but that's not going to get you away from classes."
"Great, what are we learning about?"
"Discovering new powers."
"That actually sounds interesting."
"Yeah, that's how I discovered I could heal people with the flute."
"That's just weird actually."
"Ok, but when you have a hole in your stomach, don't expect me to heal you."
"I'll remember that for later."
"You better."
"I don't wanna get up!"
"Then you're gonna get kicked out."
"5 more minutes?"
"Ok, but don't expect to have a shower."
"I dont care."
"You're gonna smell bad."
"Fine fine," Mike replied while getting up and heading to the shower. On the way, he was tackled by a very large dog.
"What the heck?" he yelled out while shoving the dog off.
"That's Disco, he's my dog," Kirsten said while appearing at the door.
"How was your first night with Billie Joe?" Songbird asked. Kirsten just gave her a wide smile and called Disco over to her.
"What kind of dog is that?" Mike asked frantically.
"A greyhound, she likes you Mike," Kirsten smirked.
"Just keep her away," he spat while Disco drooped her head and whimpered as she crawled towards Mike. He laughed and Disco ran towards him and put her head on his knees, he patted her head.
"I'm taking that shower now," Songbird announced.
"And I'll be at class, waiting for you!" Mike said walking out.
"Bye Kirsten!" Songbird called.

"Ok, Mike, we are going to discover some new powers for you, demostrate what you can do now," the teacher asked Mike while everyone else was chatting away. Mike's hands flamed and he disappeared to somewhere else.
"Very interesting, Songbird!" the teacher called. Songbird came over and smiled at Mike, "long time no see." Mike smirked and the teacher didn't approve of this and gave Songbird a glare.
"You are very good at assisting people with discovering their powers, help Mr. Pritchard," she said snobbishly and walked away. Songbird mimicked her walking away and laughed.
"Ok, don't get freaked out, I need to do this to everyone, even the girls," she shuddered. Mike just waited for moment, Songbird put her head to Mike's chest. She kept her head there for a moment until she looked up and smiled.
"Your heart is beating out of time," she said.
"How?"
"It's going thunk-a, thunk-a, thunk, thunk-a," she said laughing.
"What does that mean?"
"You'll see," she said shyly.
She started to sing, well vocalizing as a matter of fact, it grabbed everyone's attention. Her eyes turned a ruby red, it filled Mike with a strange urge up Mike's spine.
"This is normal, just go with it," a boy called out to Mike. He nodded and closed his eyes, where he saw one of the lights fall on the class, his eyes shot open where Songbird was still vocalizing.
"Everyone move to the right side of the room!" he called out over Songbird's vocalizing. Everyone but her moved, something was protecting her, some sort of force, out of no where, the light fell. It swepted to the left of Songbird so no one would get hurt and she stopped vocalizing. Her eyes went droopy and she fainted.
"Songbird!" Mike called, while lunging to her. The boy held him back, "don't touch her, it'll just destroy her ability, let her wake up on her own!" he said, fighting Mike. Everyone held back for what felt like, an hour until her eyelids fluttered open.
"How'd it go?" she asked Mike.
"Wonderful, I think you're connected now," the boy said.
"Whoo, that's good, I was afraid it didn't work," she smiled.
"I'm exhausted, I'm going back to my room, this classtime is done for me," she said.
"Here, I'll help," Mike said while holding her up by her waist and walking around with her, she was truly exhausted.
"Thanks Mike," she said while putting her head on a pillow and softly going to sleep with Mike next to her.

Mike woke up with no one by him, where's Songbird?
"Calm down, she's with Tré at the track," he heard a voice say. He turned around to see Billie Joe at the door, smiling.
"I heard you met Disco, she's cool," Billie Joe said.
"Yeah," Mike simply said.
"Hey, you can see the track from here!"
"You see them?" Mike asked while getting out of the bed.
"Yeah, Tré's cheating!"
"How?"
"He's turning into some sort of animal, a cheetah?
"Hahaha! He's a cheater and a cheetah."
"Wow, Songbird's fast, Tré turned human again."
"He was never human, he's an it."
"Nice one Mike, let's go and join them!"
"In running? But I just woke up!"
"Too bad, come on, we're going down there!"
"Ugh, fine!"
They walked down to the track where Songbird stretched out her wings, but not her talons since she didn't need them.
"Hello angel," Mike said while kissing her cheek.
"Whoa, watch it," Songbird said while covering Billie Joe, Mike,and Tré with her wings and ducked. A blast of needles seemed to come from no where.
"Watch it!" she called out.
"Oh sorry Songbird!" a boy said.
"Watch it next time Spike!"
"Ok, I was just practicing!"
"Then go to the archery range!"
"Fine!" he faked being angry.
"Fine!" she giggled back.
"Wow, what reflexes!" Mike exclaimed.
"My baby got reflexes," he continued, sounding like a gangsta.
"Mike, don't ever do that again."
"Sorry."
"Why?" Mike whined.
