Wow. One Day Can REALLY Change Your Life, chapter 1
*Jessica's POV*
"Oh my god. OH MY GOD!" I screamed. Just minutes earlier, I was listening to a random radio station when all of the sudden, some really annoying sounding voice came on and said, "Ok, everybody grab your phones and get ready to dial, cuz it's time for the Weekly 'Win Those Tickets' contest!!!" I perked up when I heard that this week they were giving away 2 tickets and backstage passes to a Green Day concert! I am a HUGE fan of Green Day! They are AWESOME!(especially Billie Joe!) So ANYWAY, back to the radio thing. So after I heard that, I instantly grabbed my cell and followed his 'instructions'. He said, "You have to be the 56th caller to win the tickets! START DIALING!!!" I instantly dialed, and it said, "Sorry. This line is busy." DAMMIT! I thought to myself. I dialed again, and it said, "Please hold." Oh my god! Then the annoying voice spoke to me on the phone AND the radio! "Hello, caller?" the voice said. "Yeah! Hello!!!" I replied while thinking of what I was going to say if he asked how I felt about winning. And to my surprise, he sure did ask. "So lucky caller, how does it feel to know that you and some lucky friend are going to a GREEN DAY concert???" Oh shit. "Umm... Umm... " I was freaking speechless! The man said, "Hello, you still there???" I quickly snapped out of my 'daze'. "Oh, hell, wait, can I say that on the radio?"
"Yes."
"Ok, HELL YES! I am so freaking excited that it isn't even FUNNY." The man said, "Well glad to hear it. Well thanks for calling... uh, what's your name again?" I sighed. "Jessica." Oh, well thanks for calling, Jessica!" "You're quite welcome!"
I could not believe it. I was going to meet Billie Joe Armstrong! I was going to meet Mike Dirnt! I was going to meet Tre Cool! Wow. And I knew EXACTLY who I was going to bring, my best friend, Ariel. I was so excited I could barely stand it on the day of the concert!
"Hey Jess, What are you gonna wear?" Ariel asked over the phone.
"Umm... " I replied. "I guess a Green Day tee, some jeans, and my hot pink converses with the Green Day shoe laces. What are YOU gonna wear?" I asked her. "Eh, I don't really know, I guess MY Green Day tee."
"Cool! We'll like, MATCH! Oh my god!" I said in my most ditsy voice possible. It was funny. We both cracked up. A couple minutes later, my mom walked in and told me to get ready or else she wouldn't drive us. I couldn't risk my transportation rights, so I hung up and got ready.
*Ariel's POV*
Ok, I thought to myself, now if I could just find my Green Day shirt. Ah, there it is! It happened to be under my bed (dun dun dun!) along with my black cons. I slipped them on, got 30$ from my mom, and waited outside. When Jessica's mom pulled up, my heart skipped due to tremendous excitement! In less than three hours, three freaking hours she would get to meet one of her fave bands! Jessica rolled down the back window and screamed, "To meet Green Day or BUST!" all three of them laughed as Ariel climbed in the car.
*Jessica's POV*
When we finally got to the concert hall, I could hardly breath cuz I was too excited! We gave the dude the tickets and gave us our passes and we headed on inside. Not only did we get backstage passes, but we also got FRONT ROW SEATS! I was hoping that one, just one drop of sweat might land on my face while his beautiful voice sang those beautiful lyrics that he came up with. I couldn't wait. After twenty five minutes of sitting there, there was a loud voice that welcomed Green Day. Billie Joe came out on stage first, holding one of his replicas of "Blue", a guitar that his father gave him. He was so hot with his long, shaggy black hair and such innocent, green eyes. And that red tie. Wow. Followed by Billie was Mike, in a black wifebeater. I had to admit, he was looking pretty sweet in that tight shirt! But my main focus was Billie Joe. After Mike, there was, of course, Tre. He looked pretty spiffy (I didn't usually use that word at, like, all) himself.
When they started, my heart literally froze because of the beautiful notes flowing through my veins for just a second. They were even awesome LIVE! I was completely amazed at their performance.
But the REAL amazing part happened BACKSTAGE.
