The Time Has Come, chapter 3

The next morning I opened my eyes, and slowly got up, I was feeling a bit dizzy, probably from the polluted water from last night. Today we were just staying at home, and setting everything up properly, but we were going to the Green Day concert tonight. It was a sort of last minute decision to go to the concert, because we had been given the tickets as a present from the orphanage in the mail yesterday (which by the way was our first letter to arrive in our new home). So I set up my computer, the television, the DVD and video player, a stereo and we ordered a dishwasher, washer and dryer, which came later that afternoon, and we had them installed too. By the time we had everything done, had relaxation time, and eaten, it was time to get ready to go to the concert, so we both chucked whatever clothes on and went.

Well the concert was just, well, like any other concert, you get squashed and feel claustrophobic in the mosh pit, and there's awesome music, but there was something more memorable about this concert than any other, probably the fact that Green Day were playing.

When the concert finished, it was a huge fight to get out of the Sydney Cricket Ground, but we did eventually get out. We jumped in the car and began to drive home, singing loudly to the American Idiot album, we went the long way home, just for the hell of it. We passed through a green light, but halfway through; I saw a bright light, followed by Emily screaming, and metal crunching noises.

Everything went black, and then I saw a light, and just sat there, then the darkness filled with light and everything became clear, I was sitting in a garden, but on both sides of the garden, there were large wooden doors, one set white, and the others black. It was getting hot, so I took off my clothes and went for a swim in the pond; I then got out, dried myself and got dressed again, than the white doors swung open, behind it there was darkness, I ventured in past the doorway, and I saw a bright light, I began to run towards it, but when I almost
reached it, the light went out, and I started falling.

I woke up; there was a bright light above my head, and I could hardly move or breath. There were people around me, doctors I think, I was in so much pain to even care, and then I remembered, the car accident!

"Ei... . Ei... is Emma-lee, al-ri-te?" I managed to get out of my mouth, but nobody answered, so I took it she must be ok, then I blacked out again.

There were big gates swinging open and closed, with lava and flames behind them, I was being pulled in, it felt like a piece of string had been tied around my heart and it lured me into the flaming depths, it must be hell.

I woke up again, sweaty and breathless. I was fully conscious, and I asked where Emily had gone to, the doctor came over to me, and started talking to me in some 'doctor' language.

"I'm sorry to tell you, but Emily is dead, she had a ruptured lung from the impact" said the doctor,

"NO! NO! NO!" I screamed, and unhooked all the tubes and needles and ran out the door. I went back home, and went out on to our balcony, I didn't want to live anymore, I went to jump off the edge, and I was getting ready to jump. I stepped down, I couldn't do it, but then I felt a push from behind, and I fell.
