Ha ha, you're dead!, chapter 3
"What are you guys doing?" Mike said as he almost caught me and Billie kissing at school.
For some strange reason Billie wanted to keep it a secret that we were a couple.
"N..N...Nothing!" I stuttered.
"Just ditching class and talking!" Billie continued and gave me a wink and a smile.
"Why are you guys being so secretive all of a sudden? Are you keeping something from me?" Mike said and looked a bit hurt.
He didn't like being held outside.
"No, we're not keeping anything from you Mike!" I lied and gave him a friendly hug. He gave me a smile and changed the subject.
"Maria! There you are I've been looking all over for you!" It was Jim. He had had a little crush on me forever. He hadn't told me, but everybody else. He was a nice kid, but he was too quiet and shy for me.
"Hi, Jim what's up?" I said and smiled.
"I..I...I want you to have this!" he gave me a rose.
"Would you like to...be my girlfriend?" He started blushing and looked at his shoes. I looked at Billie then at the rose Jim had given me.
"I'm really flattered Jim, but..." I started. I didn't get to finish.
"Don't you get that she doesn't like you??" Billie yelled at him.
Mike looked at Billie. He was confused. Usually Billie would have teased me with Jim liking me.
"Stop bothering her and get the fuck away before I punch your fucking face in!" He threatened and raised his hand.
Jim let out a scared sigh and ran away down the hall.
"Billie! You didn't need to scare him! He's really nice!" I said and looked angry with Billie.
"But..." Billie started and looked down.
"I'm confused! Why do you even care?" Mike said to Billie.
"I, uhh...well...you see." Billie stuttered.
"You guys are going out aren't you?" Mike said.
Billie and me blushed and nodded. I felt ashamed that we hadn't told Mike at once. He was my best friend too.
"Why didn't you tell me?" Mike yelled.
"You know why!" Billie said and gave Mike an angry look.
"Fine! Just leave me hanging on the outside! I don't care!" Mike yelled as he ran outside and left us staring after him.
"What was that all about?" I asked.
Billie shook his head. "He's just pissed we didn't tell him. He'll get over it!"
Time passed and after a while Mike came back and apologized for his behavior, but something in his eyes gave me a hunch that he wanted to even the score.
"So for how long have you been going out?" Mike finally asked.
"About a month..." Billie said when we heard someone walking in the end of the hall. It was Jim who came back. A saw a little light in Mike's eyes as Jim came closer and closer.
"Hey, Jim...sorry 'bout that just now!" Billie said and looked at me.
"No problem Billie!" Jim said rather expressionless and turned to me.
"Maria...?" he said.
I nodded.
He came closer and closer and suddenly he kissed me. Out of nowhere. I tried to push him away, but he was too strong. Billie dragged Jim away from me. Jim was very small even compared to Billie.
"What the fuck is you doing?" Billie yelled at Jim while he was holding him.
"That's my girl you're kissing!" Jim looked frightened to death.
"Billie don't blow this out of proportion!" I begged him as he punched Jim in the face, making him bleed.
"Billie! NO!" I said and tried to hold him back, but he was too strong. He went after Jim and gave him a punch in the stomach. I stood by watching Jim's body fall slowly against the ground.
