"Tell me who you love!", chapter 6
"Hey, you must be the competition winners" Billie said. His voice was so different, so deep, and so wonderful.
Melissa stood there, speechless, shocked at the sight of her idol standing right in front of her. But no person's feelings could top Cassie's right now.
Billie looked at Cassie, his mind ticking over with confusion. He opened the door, where they stepped inside to find two other men, who had also changed over these years. Tre, had changed on the outside, but no doubt was still the same old playful Tre on the inside. Cassie had the sudden urge to run up to him and kiss him. But she kept her distance.
"Wow" Melissa finally found the voice to say. Billie laughed, but kept on looking at Cassie. Tre hadn't noticed Cassie yet, but Mike had, and he too was staring at her with confusion for a while, but looked away and shrugged it off. Cassie just wished Billie could do the same; it was starting to creep her out.
Melissa started asking Billie some questions, and finally he broke contact with Cassie and started talking to Melissa, who seemed to be in heaven right now. Tre looked up at that moment, and saw Cassie. Their eyes met and Cassie's stomach did a double flip.
"Cassie!?" Tre said with both happiness and confusion. The room fell silent and everyone stared at Cassie.
She just looked at the floor, feeling herself go red. "Oh my god, it's been what 18 years?" Tre asked, coming over to her.
"Yeah, 18 years" Cassie said. She felt reunited, she felt the same old Cassie again, the 15 year old one.
"Bloody hell have I missed you" Tre said, embracing her in a hug. It was the same old Tre. Cassie was hit with a wave of emotions, as the touch of Tre brought back memories. He smelt the same, felt the same and looking into his eyes, Cassie could see the 15 year old boy again.
"Mum, how do you know him?" Ali asked, shocked, after all Tre was his idol of a drummer.
"We, we went to the same school and were-" Cassie started, struggling to find the right words. "We were best friends" She finished.
Ali sat there, with his mouth open, as did Melissa. Cassie looked over at Billie, who looked at the floor quickly as soon as their eyes met.
"I still can't believe it's you Cassie!" Tre said, smiling at her. God that smile, it was still the same 'Tre' smile.
After a while of questions and talking, Cassie, Melissa and Ali left the room to go and find places in the crowd once again. Cassie was last out the door, and was suddenly pulled back by someone. She turned around to see Billie staring at her. No words were spoken, but Billie lent nearer to her and planted a soft, toe tingling, kiss on her lips. Reunited. With a kiss.
