"Tell me who you love!", chapter 8
Cassie woke to find 5 blurry people around her.
"She's waking up, give her some room," Someone said. Cassie groaned as she tried to lift her head, but immediately felt a throbbing pain.
"Fuck, this is my entire fault." A man said. She recognized the voice.
"Tre, this is not your fault, you throw shit into the crowd all the time, and Cassie just got unlucky," Another guy said.
"Yeah, whatever Mike, but why did it have to be Cassie? Is this like fate or something?" Tre said. He only meant it to be a joke, but perhaps he was right.
Cassie's eyes focused and she saw Tre, Mike, Billie, Ali and Melissa stood around her.
"What happened?" Cassie said groggily.
"Tre here, hit you on the head with a drumstick," Mike said.
"Accidentally!" Tre protested, seeing Cassie's mouth open. Cassie realized she had a hand over hers. She looked down to see a hand she recognized. She followed the hand up and saw it belonged to Billie.
Billie saw her, and snatched his hand away guiltily.
"Cassie, I'm really sorry you know, I mean if it had been anyone else I would have been laughing my head off right now, but as it's you then I feel really bad." Tre said, looking down at her.
"Tre, it's ok don't feel bad, I just should have realized I had a flying drumstick coming towards me," Cassie said, flinching with the throbbing in her head.
"Yeah, ok-" Their was a pause as a cheeky smile spread across his face. "The love of my life," He finished.
"Oh my god! Tre! How many times I do not love you!" Cassie laughed, playing along with their old antics.
"Wow, it feels so good to be like we were 15 again-what happened to those years?" Tre asked.
The room fell silent as they thought about the old times.
"Ok! This is like an old granny's reunion! Will you please have your catch ups later," Ali moaned, breaking the silence. They all laughed.
"Well, my dear, how did you ever know I was an old woman in disguise? I suppose I shall have to tell you about my childhood..." Tre mocked, pretending to be an old woman, walking over to Ali, hobbling slightly.
"Tre, you haven't changed one bit do you realize that?" Cassie said laughing. "And stop making me laugh-it hurts to much," She added, gripping her head.
"Nothing can hurt as much as that fucking brain freeze I had," Tre said, giving Cassie the evils.
"Oh my fucking god Tre, you actually remember that?" Cassie said surprised.
"How can I forget the day, I shoved ice cream in my mouth? Then you rubbing my head?" Tre asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Well, you have the most bad memory ever, so I'm shocked you actually remember something from like 18 years ago." Cassie said.
"Anything that happened with you I remember," Tre said caringly, causing the room to go awfully silent again.
"Well guys, I got to go-got to check on my café," Mike said, getting up and grabbing his keys.
"Yeah, I'll come with you," Billie said quickly.
"Guys! Cassie turns up out of the blue after 18 years and you walk out," Tre said shocked.
"We can have a catch up tonight at your house or something Tre," Mike said simply.
"Ok, as long as you go out and get more beer in," Tre said.
"Tre, there's like 6 crates in the basement." Mike said with wide eyes.
"6 crates! Is that all?" Tre screeched.
"Just get him some bloody beer Mike." Billie said, dragging him out the door. Cassie watched Billie, leaving her again. Was this pay back or something?
