Wake Up, Billie., chapter 1

I awoke in the morning with a groan, lifting up my hand in an attempt to relieve the pressure of a pounding hangover.

I looked to the other side of the double bed, to the sleeping form lying calmly beside me; chest rising up and down accompanied by gentle breaths.

A smile nudged at the corners of my mouth as I recalled last nights antics. The alcohol had been in plenty, and finally allowed me to release my real feelings.

I thought back to the night before.

"Billie. I need to talk to you." I had been told.
"Fire away." I replied, slightly slurring my words.
"Can we go perhaps somewhere more... Private? This is pretty important."
"Of course, how about my room? It's quiet up there. We won't be disturbed."

We trailed up the many stairs leading to my room and hastily, I unlocked the door.
"So," I started. "What is it?" I asked softly.
"I... I... "
"Come on... Don't worry, you can tell me anything."
"Okay." A deep breath was taken in, on both sides. "I think I love you."
"You have no idea how long I've waited to hear you say that." I answered smoothly, my heart pounding in my chest.
"Really?" Came the rather shocked reply.
"Yes." I answered with confidence. "I've known for some time now, though." With that, I fiercely tugged on the shirt before me; crashing our lips together in a tight, fulfilling embrace.

Soon, our lips unlocked from each other, but there was still hunger in both of our eyes. I ripped off the shirt I had previously been clinging to and threw it across the room. It was clear that we both wanted it. What happened then was definitely not a drunken mistake. It was destiny.

Under the covers, I ran the tip of my toe up the leg of the sleeping figure beside me, causing a shiver and a slight moan.

I continued to caress the leg with my foot until, with a murmur, the figure turned to face me.

"What have we done, Billie?" I was asked. "What about Adie, our kids, our lives?"
"Shhh," I soothed. "We'll be fine. Besides, it was worth it."
"You're right." Came the reply.

For a second or two, there was a blissful silence as we both considered our actions, before I whispered:

"I love you too, Tré."
