Angelica, the Angel and Billie Joe, the Devil, chapter 4
I was shocked. I couldn't speak. The only thing that I wanted to do was to run away.
"Angel, are you ok?" Billie Joe was looking at me with a worried face.
"I... I must go Billie Joe!" and I ran away from the park.
"But Angelica..."
"Really, I must go!"
I didn't want to cry but a tear felt from my eye. 'He doesn't love me... He used me because he wants Megan...'
When I finally got home, Megan was waiting for me at the door. I hated her so much in that moment.
"Angel! How was it? What... " she started to say.
"Don't call me Angel... "
"Angel? What are you talking about?"
"I said DON'T CALL ME ANGEL!!"
"Angelica, what is wrong with you?!"
"You are asking me what is wrong? YOU ARE ASKING ME WHAT IS WRONG, BITCH?"
"DON'T CALL ME BITCH!!"
"WHAT?! DO YOU PREFER WHORE? DO YOU THINK IT'S MORE ELEGANT?"
And I slapped her. Then we looked at each other in the eyes for ten seconds. Or maybe for a minute. I wasn't counting. Then Megan started to cry and she runned away. Then I realized.
She was my best friend.
It wasn't her fault.
And I slapped her.
In that moment I felt so stupid.
"MEGAN!!! WAIT!!" and I started to run after her.
I grabbed her when we were in the middle of a street.
"Why do you hate me?"
"Megan listen... I didn't."
Then I saw a car coming towards us very fast...
I looked Megan and she pushed me on the sidewalk...
And the car hit her...
My best friend was on the ground covered of blood.
"MEGAN!" I screamed
A guy came out from the car. He looked pretty drunk. He watched Megan for two seconds and he started to laugh. And he went away.
I ran towards Megan and I hugged her.
"Megan!! Wake up!!" She opened her eyes.
"Meg, sorry... Everything is going to be ok... "
"Angel... You are always going to be my best friend... I am sorry for... "
But she couldn't finish because she died there in my arms.
Then I heard someone cry behind me.
It was Billie Joe.
"Angel, are you ok?" Billie Joe was looking at me with a worried face.
