Have To See It To Believe It, chapter 4
"I'll be right back." Billie said suspiciously. Mily and Libby eyed him and he walked off and sat in his car.
"I wonder what he's thinking." Mily said out of silence.
"Yeah. Maybe he's a creepy stalker that is going to leave us then follow us." Mily laughed as Libby looked behind her.
"Hey we were the ones who were going to go to California and stalk him, Mike and Tre until they called the cops on us." Mily replied breaking the laughter between the two.
"Wait you guys were going to stalk me and the other guys? And Libby you thought I was creepy." Billie said seeming to come out of nowhere and just appear. Mily and Libby burst out laughing as Billie crossed his arms and fake pouted.
"So who did you call? What were you talking about? And, How do I come into all of this?" Libby asked each question a little louder each time.
"I called Mike, he's going to come down here with Tre. We were talking about something. And I will tell you two later." Billie said covering himself up.
"Humph, fine what are we going to do now though?" Mily asked still wanting to know what was going on.
"Libby go and ask you parents if you can spend the night at Mily's house." Billie demanded, "I'm going to go wait in my car." Libby walked into her house and left Mily thinking too hard. 'What was he talking to Mike and Tre about? Why does he want Libby to sleep over? And why am I stuck in the middle of all of it? But most importantly, How did Billie know where I lived and how did he know Libby?' she thought to herself and didn't know Libby was walking up to her.
"My parents said I could stay the night, but your house burned down, where are we going to sleep?" She asked looking around for Billie to appear once more.
"Oh," she said snapping out of her thoughts, "I guess Billie rented a hotel to stay at." Mily and Libby walked down the driveway and to Billie's car, where he was talking on his cell phone. He saw them coming and said something into it and hung up as they opened the door to the car.
"Who were you talking to Billie Boy?" Mily asked eyeing the cell phone in Billie's hand.
"Huh? Oh erm no one." He started up the car and Mily and Libby talked about school and their friends.
"She did not," Libby said to Mily
"She did" Mily replied.
"Nuh uh"
"Uh huh" Billie looked at the two in the rear-view mirror and laughed to himself silently.
"What's so funny?" Mily asked seeing him laugh to himself.
"Oh I was just thinking about you two talking like that. I live with Joey and Jakob, they never fight like that, usually their fights are physical." He said keeping his eyes on the road. Mily and Libby went back to their conversation of 'Uh Huhs' and 'Nuh Uhs'. And Billie just laughed along with it.
They arrived at the hotel and Mily and Libby ran in to the front counter, Billie stayed behind and put on a black baseball hat and a pair of sunglasses then walked into the hotel and up to the counter.
"Uh, I'd like a room for five please. Maybe the penthouse if you could." He said to the lady behind the front desk. She looked at him weirdly and gave him the room key as he paid. The three walked up to the penthouse and opened the door. Mily and Libby stared in awe as they saw red and gold walls, a fridge, a stove, and like six other rooms.
"Mily I would like to talk to you, in private, there is something I really need to tell you, and I think Libby is not ready to hear."
