Hey, Isnt That the New Kid?, chapter 4
Finally the end of the period bell rang. Tre and I rose from our seats and started to head towards the door.
"Ms. Parker" Ms. Turrner called. I turned around to respond just as she started to talk. "You should stay after school to make up that quiz you missed, todays the last day to make it up so I suggest you show up, or it'll be another zero on your grade... And you and I both know you can't afford that."
"Umm yeah, I'll be here" was all I managed to say. I turned around to see Tre still standing there with a confused look on his face waiting for me. Together we walked out the door and down the south corridor to our next class.
"Hey, do you know where room 412 is?" Tre asked
"412? Why?
"That's my next class" he told me.
"Really cool, thats my next class too, just follow me." I said, which was dumb because of course he'd have to follow me because he had no idea how to get there.
As we walked to class Tre asked me a question I knew would come sooner or later.
"Why did you tell me that Ms. Turrner's class was so easy you didn't need to pay attention, when your actually failing her class?"
I looked at him and stumbled around with the right words to tell him to end the conversation. "Well it is really easy, its just really really boring as well, and when I'm bored I sleep, and when I sleep my participation grade goes down." I tried to explain.
"Oh, but how come your test grades don't keep the grade up if it's so easy?"
I lied about this one, "Umm, well Ms. Turrner puts essay questions on the test and I just don't do them because they have to be long and I'm just to lazy to write them... You understand right?"
"It's alright dude, I knew you were wondering" I said as I laughed it off. Tre laughed with me as we reached our next class.
As we entered I pointed out the 'unforgiving' Mr. Perry. Tre and I walked pass him and headed to the back to find seats when Mr. Perry called Tre over. Tre talked to him for about five minutes explaining who he was and why he was there. When Tre was done talking to him he made his way to the back to take a seat next me.
"Man, does that guy have a stuttering problem or do I just intimidate him that much?" Tre joked.
"You'll get used to it!" I said in between laughs.
For the next hour and a half Tre and I passed notes which made the time go by pretty fast. Before we knew it the bell rang meaning it was the end of school.
Once again, for the last time that day, the class made their way through the door and going separate ways to go home. Tre and I followed suit, but instead of going home we headed back to the depths of hell, as known as, Ms. Turrner's room. On the way there I stopped by Billie Joe's locker to tell him I was staying after, so I won't be able to make it to his house.
"Hey Billie," I said while approaching him. Billie took his head out of his locker to see who was talking to him.
"Oh, hey Liv." he finally said.
"So Billie, I have to go to Ms. Turrner's room to make up a stupid quiz. I don't think I'll be able to go to your house."
"No way man, I'll wait for you and we can walk to my house, Mike and Caiti can met us there." Billie said while closing his locker and putting the lock back on it.
"Dude, thats half a mile away!" I complained.
"But it'll go fast cuz we'll talk and laugh and stuff." Billie begged.
"Fine!" I replied "I don't know how I always give into your puppy dog face! Your just so cute I guess." Billie smiled and hugged me in thanks. Just then Caiti walked up from behind Billie and scared him half the death.
"Sup guys?" she said trying not to laugh.
"Hey" I said trying not to laugh just like Caiti. Billie just stared Caiti down with a look from hell. (It's weird, I don't know how Billie can go from having the sweetest puppy dog face I have ever seen, to having a look that makes you wanna stab yourself just to please him. ) After making Caiti feel uncomfortable for a few more seconds with his look, he just laughed it off and replied with a "hey" as well. A smile returned to her face as she then noticed Tre still standing behind me.
"Who's this?" she asked. Billie wondered what she was talking about until he also saw Tre standing there.
"Yeah man, who are you?" he asked.
"Oh, this is Tre Cool." I cut in before Tre could explain himself "He's the new kid in school."
"Oh" Billie said still not really knowing who he was. "Hey Tre, I'm Billie Joe and this is Caiti."
"HHEEYYY" Tre said imitating Fonzi. Caiti smiled and tried to be cute.
"Keep it in your pants!" Billie joked when he saw Caiti's feeble attempt so impress Tre.
Caiti just looked embarrassed and kept quiet. I laughed at the two then I saw Mike walking this way. On his way over some random guy, probably a freshman, bumped into him and got knocked down. Everyone stated to laugh as Mike acted like nothing happened and kept on walking.
"Hey guys lets go." He said when he reached us.
"Not yet" Billie replied, then explained the change of plans then introduced Tre to Mike. As we were walking to Ms. Turrners room it was decided that we would all walk to Billie's house together once I was done with my quiz.
Finally we reached hell... Oh, excuse me... I mean Ms. Turrner's room. While Tre and I were in the class the other three were sitting on the floor outside the door waiting for us to finish. Ten minutes passed until I was able to go out to the hall and wait with the others for Tre to finish his detention. Five minutes later Tre walks out the door surprised to see us there.
"Are you guys waiting for me?" he asked.
"Yeah, we figured since you were the new kid and stuff, you would wanna hang out with the coolest kids in school." Billie replied.
"Oh yeah, but I saw them leave when school got out, there's no way I can catch up with them now." Tre said.
"OH BURN!" I yelled.
"Hey" Billie said to me, "I said coolest KIDS not coolest KID... So he means you too dumbass!" We all laughed at Billie's 'burn' cover up.
"I'm just playin' with ya Billie, of course I'll hang out with you guys." Tre said after laughing.
"Cool, well were going to my house, so lets go then. Oh, and just watch out, Caiti might throw herself at you, so be prepared at ALL times, you might have to go Chuck Norris on her ass and roundhouse kick her in the face!" Billie joked while doing a kick in the air and side punching the lockers next to him. Billie, Mike and I laughed so hard we started to cry as Tre and Caiti kinda just looked at each other and shrugged their shoulders.
We then headed down the hall, out the door, and towards Billie's house.

"HHEEYYY" Tre said imitating Fonzi. Caiti smiled and tried to be cute.
