Letters To The One I Love, chapter 3

"Mom! Joey told me to fuck off!", the youngest family member whined. It was the next morning, nearly seven o clock and Adrienne was in the kitchen making the lunch for school and being very annoyed by the disagreements of her sons.

"Jake, please go talk to your dad about that, I'm making your lunch for school."
"But Daddy told him to say that!"
Adrienne rolled her eyes. "I'll talk to him later. Now go and make it up with your brother, Jakey, yeah?"
"OK!"
As soon as Jakob disappeared through the door, Adrienne shook her head and sighed. "Seems like I have to looks after three children."
"Sorry, what was that?"
Adrienne turned around to see Billie joe enter the room, smiling widely.
"I just figured out you seem to be the same age as your son.", she told him.
"Which one?"
"Jake."
"Well, thank you very much!" He stepped towards her laid his arms around her neck. "But I miss one thing in your consideration."
Adrienne raised an eyebrow. "And that would be?"
"You forgot to mention that I look that young, too."
"No, I didn't forget it. My mother just told me not to lie."

Billie pouted and somehow managed to make his eyes look even bigger than they used to. Adrienne rolled her eyes at that.

"Alright, you look brand new, now let goof me or the boys'll be late for school."
"Heh heh." Satisfied he heard what he wanted to hear, Billie pulled his arms back, kissed Adrienne on the nose and left the room to do something else. After their sons got to school without any incidents and Adrienne successfully defended her shopping bags against Billie Joe who wanted ice cream, they went upstairs to read some more letter, or, as they called it, 'continue tidying up'. But again they soon were interrupted, this time by the ringing doorbell. Sighing, Billie Joe got up to answer it.

"Oh. Mike."
"Don't bubble over with joy to see me, Bill.", Mike smirked, "I just came to help tidying up."
"How do you even know Adie and me are not busy offending each other?"
"Your sons know how to use a phone. And they needed to tell someone that now their mom and dad are kissing again instead of shouting around. I'd say Tré already knows, too."
"Oh, Alright, come in."

"Who's that?", they heard Adrienne ask.
"Mike. Wanted to look if we are playing nicely."
Adrienne chuckled, making Mike smile warmly.
"Y'know, I'm really glad you two get along better again.", he told Billie.
"Why?", Billie smirked, "No grown-up Armstrong family members sitting around at your house, complaining about each other?"
"Heh. Yeah, actually, it was pretty annoying. But that's not the main reason."
"I know." They finally went upstairs, joining Adrienne in throwing things out of the cupboard. They were joking around a lot, laughing at which odd things Billie Joe used to keep in his cupboard.

"Hey! That's my belt? What's it doing here?", Mike suddenly called out, pointing at a black leather belt with a skull buckle.

"You lost it here on New Year's Eve.", Adrienne answered, "I wonder about how drunk you have to be to lose your belt, but-"
"Pfft. I didn't drink more than you."
"Sure you did, 'cause you passed out on the stairs while I managed to get to the bed."
Billie grinned. "Yeah and there we did things you wouldn't mention in front of the boys."
Adrienne glared at him.
"Oh, reaaally?"Mike asked.
"Michael Ryan Pritchard, shut up or I'll throw you out of here Adrienne joked.
"Aww, nooo, I want to - eeeww, what's that?"
He pointed at a awful smelling plastic bag. A blue and brown pair of eyes looked at Billie Joe whose cheeks reddened.
"I'm...er...gonna throw that away," he mumbled, leaving his chuckling wife and band mate to sort out the other stuff.

When Joey and Jakob came back from school someone had the idea to go out to eat something so that's what they did. Once again no chance to read the remaining letters.
