Unexpected Children Form the Unsuspecting Past, chapter 4

Before Ray could even reach for the handle, the door flew open to reveal Billie.

"What are you doing here?" He questioned.

"I could ask you the same thing." I didn't want to tell him that I had come to see Mikey, even if I didn't want him to see me. He took the hint and dropped the subject.

"Well, I was just leaving anyway. I'll tell Tre where you are." Mike said, then directed his attention to Ray. "Sorry we didn't get to hang out that much but I'll stop by later." And with that, he stepped off the tour bus and headed across the parking lot to the Green Day bus.

"Um... So, let's go inside and I'll give you a tour." Ray seemed uncomfortable. I followed him into the small living area in the middle of the bus. I had a couch, a large t.v. and verious video games that went to the X-box and Playstation 2.

Just like Frankie to have all those games.

In the back of the bus was the kitchen/dinning area. At the moment, Gerard, Bob, and Frank, Frank and Gerard with their backs to us, were sitting at the table discusing the order of songs for their next show. Bob looked up, hearing footsteps, as the others ignored us. His eyes went wide. We had only talked a few times in the past, but he still recognized me. Bob poked Gerard and Frank, causing them to stare wide-eyed at me also.

"V-Victoria?" Gerard whispered. I nodded, not knowing what else to do. I was planning to hide who I was, but that just went down the toilet.

"That's Eve, isn't it?" Gerard pointed at the 5-year-old resting on my hip. I shifted her wieght, as my hip began to get sore. Again, I nodded, along with a confused glace to Ray. Gerard's only reply was a soft smirk.

"How are you here?" Frank was interrupting the akward silence. It was my turn to smirk.

"Did you forget who my brother is?" Frank looked like he was thinking hard, but quickly recovered by mouthing 'Oh,' as if the light bulb in his head just went off.

The guys stood up and lead me to the living area and we began to talk about what I had been up to since I had left. The question of how Eve came to be kept coming up, but I always changed the subject. They seemed to sense that it was a toughy subject after a while and stopped asking.

"I'm hungry." Frankie (Yes, I had gone back to calling him Frankie) stated.

"You're always hungry." Bob argued. Frankie began to protest when Ray interrupted.

"How about we go get pizza?"

"I'm not hungry." I had never eaten alot.

"Me niether. Victoria and I will stay here. You guys go out to eat." Gerard told rather than suggested. They seemed to get the hint.

As they started to leave, I shouted, "If you run into Mikey, my name is Veronica!"
I heard a few 'okay's in response.

I turned to Gerard next.

"How did you know her name was Eve?" Again, Gerard smirked.

"Older brothers talk." I went pale and he seemed to notice.

"Don't worry, I didn't tell Mikey. I would never. And even if I wanted to, Tre would kill me." Gerard gave a nervous laugh as I smiled at his attempt to cheer me up.

"Why didn't you tell him?"

"I wanted to tell him, but I was scared of how he would react. And I didn't want to ruin your chance of becoming big. And I wasn't abou to kill an unborn child, so I did the only thing I could think of. Leave." Now I was crying and we had only been talking for about ten minutes.

"Do the other guys know?"

"If they do, I didn't tell them."

"Thanks Gerard. You were always there for me."

"You're welcome."

I looked down at the sleeping child in my arms. Eve had fallen asleep while Gerard, Ray, Frank, Bob, and I were talking. We heard the door creak open and I whipped my head up.
