Unexpected Children Form the Unsuspecting Past, chapter 6
Silence took over the room. Finally, Billie burst out laughing, followed by the others.
Frankie was the first to speak.
"You bastards!" Directing his comment tward Eve and Tre. "You beat my record!" That just made us all laugh harder. Well, everone but Adriane.
"Ew." You can say that again. Even her voice made me hate her. What's worse is that I knew that Mikey loved her and had forgotten about me. "That's disgusting. You need to learn to keep your kid in line."
That was crossing the line. No one insults my daughter.
By now, everyone had stopped laughing, to see what I would do next. Gerard saw that I was going to blow at her, but didn't even try to stop me. That wasn't normal. He must hate her, too.
"Who the fuck do you think you are, telling me how to raise my kid?" My voice was low and dangerous.
"I think I know how to raise her better than you do." Right. I'd like to see her try.
"Oh, really?" She nodded, a smirk present on her face. "'Cause I don't think you could handle it. Waking up for the first year or two to a screaming, hungy child. Hardly ever getting sleep. Teach them to not listen to their idot of an uncle? Or his friends? I don't think you would last a day with a little kid."
Eyes narrowed, face dark, I glared at Adriane. She could tell I wasn't kidding and skulked back to the bunks. After glaring, Mikey followed also. Now, that really hurt. As soon as they were out of sight, I broke down crying on the couch. Gerard, being the only one that understood why I was crying, came to comfort me. The other members of My Chemical Romance (minus Mikey) were staring, confused at us, whil Green Day looked sad and also came to comfort me.
"Um... Will someone explain what's going on here?" Thank God for Bob to brake the ice. Tre looked at me, as if asking for approval. I nodded.
"Well..." He began to tell them about Eve's father. They were still confused until they connected who her father was.
"So... Let me get this straight." Ray started. "... You're crying because you still love him, but you think he hates you?"
"I don't think. I know." That brought on a fresh wave of tears.
"Don't be sad, Mommy." I had forgotten Eve was there and tried to dry my eyes until she brought me into the strongest hug a five-year-old girl could give. I smiled at her attempt to make me feel better.
In The Bunks
Mikey and Adriane had heard the entire thing.
"Did you hear that? That little brat is your kid! Why didn't you tell me?!" Adriane hissed, so we wouldn't hear her out in the living room.
"How? I've never met Veronica before and they never said the father's nam anyway!" Mikey counter-acted and walked into the bathroom so he wouldn't be pestered any longer. Adriane huffed and crossed her arms. She didn't like losing an arguement and she had just lost two in a row. Mikey was right. They never said the father's name. But he always could be lying about never meeting Veronica before. There was something suspicious about her. About the way she looked at Mikey. Her boyfriend. It looked like she was in love with him. She had seen it in some of the fans' eyes before. And she didn't like it.
