"What An Asshole You Are Billie"-sequal to "you may not see me but im always with you Adrienne", chapter 12
"Adie, if you need me to pull over, I will" Tre says the next morning as we're on our way to the doctors.
"I'll be fine. Thanks anyway, but I just thought I'd hurl all over you Tre" I say sarcastically.
"Not over these trousers you wont" he says laughing.
When we arrive at the doctors, I start to feel even more sick as the smell of disinfectant wafts around my nose. Tre holds my hand as we sit in the waiting room, after signing in at the office.
"I bet I've just got a bug Tre" I say, regretting coming to the doctors after all.
"Well, I'm worried because you have puked up every morning so far and you are stinking out the house" he says.
"Cheers Tre, makes me feel a lot better knowing I make the house smell"
"Anytime"
We sit there, hand in hand, waiting to be called for the next 15 minutes.
"Mrs. Armstrong?" A man in a grey suit calls to the waiting room.
"You stay here Tre, I'll be fine" I say getting up and walking over to the man.
"Hi" he says, pointing to a room on the right.
I sit down on a plastic chair as he sits behind his desk.
"So your symptoms have been sickness, mainly in the mornings, a few headaches and dizziness" He says, reading from a sheet.
"Yes" I reply.
"Hm" he says. I sit there watching him as he mumbles stuff to him self.
"I think you should take one of these. I'll give you half an hour to get your self sorted" he says handing me a box.
I take the box and read it. 'Pregnancy test' it read across the top.
"You must have got this all wrong, I can't be pregnant" I say, handing him back the box.
"Well, we need to make sure in case it's anything serious" he says, rejecting the box. I sigh and get up.
"Thanks" I grumble walking out the room.
"Come back in when you're done, toilets are just on the left as you go out" he says, flashing me a toothy smile.
I walk back to the waiting room and see Tre with his I-pod plugged in his ears. He doesn't see me so I scurry into the toilets.
I lock my self in a cubicle and take the test. I wait just over the time needed and pick the test back up, my hands shaking.
I take a deep breath and look down at it.
Positive.
