"What An Asshole You Are Billie"-sequal to "you may not see me but im always with you Adrienne", chapter 14
"You're what?" he asks, shocked.
"I'm pregnant," I repeat.
"Oh my god! I'm so happy; we're going to have another baby. This just proves that our love isn't over Adie!" He says, wrapping his arms round me. I want to tell him, I really do. But he seems so happy that I don't want to thunder down on his happiness by breaking him with the truth.
"Yeah, we're going to have another baby" I lie, looking over at Tre who's stood in the doorway.
"You've made it up then" Mike says, coming over to us.
"Yeah, and we have some news" Billie says excitedly. "Adrienne's pregnant! We're going to have a baby!" He finishes.
"Oh my god!" Mike says. "Congratulations guys!" he adds, hugging us both.
"Yeah, I'm happy for you" Tre buts in, his face expressionless.
Just at that moment, Jakob and Joey come running in the room.
"Dad! Dad! Dad!" Jakob screeches, running up to Billie and throwing his arms round him.
"Hey Jakey!" he says, picking him up and spinning him around.
"Hi dad" Joey says. Billie props Jakob back down on the floor, much to Jakob's dislike and walks over to Joey.
"Hey my big boy" he says, ruffling his hair.
"Dad! I scored a goal against Joey the other day!" Jakob squeals.
"You did? Well done!" Billie compliments, then looks over at Joey.
"I let him have a goal," Joey mouths. Billie nods, and hugs Jakob once again.
They look so happy, Billie will never find out. Maybe it is Billie's anyway and we can all just be happy family again. I say this over and over again in my head until I end up believing my self. I smile at them and go into the kitchen to pour my self some water.
I lean against the kitchen side, sipping the water delicately.
"Why didn't you tell me?" Tre asks, coming into the room.
"It wasn't the right time," I mumble. "I'm sorry."
"I really thought we would have had something. I am happy for you and Billie but you know I'll still love you right?" he asks.
"Yes Tre. I care for you too," I say, not looking into his eyes.
"Adie is there something up?" he asks, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear.
"Hm? No, I'm fine" I lie once again.
"You can always come to me if you need to tell me anything" he says softly. I look up at him, his ice blue eyes staring back at me. A tear seeps down my cheek as I look back at him.
"Come on now, don't cry," He says, pulling me towards him and hugging me.
Back in the lounge
"Dad, have you come back now?" Jakob asks, swinging his legs as he sits on Billie's lap.
"Yes, and I'll be here for the pair of you, and your mum. I'll never leave you again" he says, kissing Jakob on the top of his head.
"Will you look after mum, because she's being sick a lot?" Joey states. Billie smiles.
"Of course I will. There's something you two should know" he says. The boys look up at his father expectantly as if he was just about to turn into a rabbit or something.
"You're going to have a little brother or sister"
Back in the kitchen
"I wish I could tell you Tre" I mumble into his shirt.
"Tell me what?" he asks me.
"Billie's not the dad of my baby."
"Then who is?" he asks me, looking at me with concern.
"You."
"I'm pregnant," I repeat.
