Beautiful Disaster, chapter 3
The next day at school was not good. Every teacher, whose lesson I had missed, interrogated me as to why I had missed it, so of course I lied and said that I had gone home ill. When I asked Frank, he said the same had happened to him, but we just giggled about it, all the way to the lunch hall at lunchtime, where we sat together and talked about bands we loved.I saw Becca and she came and sat with us and we chatted all the way up until the bell rang for afternoon lessons.
"Hey, I was wondering if you'd both like to come to this gig thing tonight at Gilman Street?" asked Tre.
" Yeah, sounds great," I replied. "Whose playing?" asked Becca.
"Oh just some local bands, and I have some friends who always go there, so you could meet them too."
"Yeah, count me in, definately," Becca answered.
So, that evening Becca, Frank and me went down to Gilman Street, and as I had been there before, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. And, oh, was I in for a surprise. When we got in, Frank saw his friends and went over to them and Beca and I followed. "Hey, Soph I'm just gonna go to the bathroom, do you want to come?" "Yeah ok, sure," I replied.
When we came out, I suddenly stopped and looked over to Frank and his friends, and saw a girl there with black hair, about my height laughing and talking with Frank, But it wasn't that, that bothered me, it was the fact that suddenly she kissed him!!! My whole body felt like it was going to explode, my heart was beating so fast I though it was going to come out of my mouth!! Becca turned round and asked me what was wrong, but I didn't say a word, my whole body was frozen. How could she kiss my guy? Frank and the girl walked over, hand in hand, and he called Becca and me over.
"Sophie, Becca, I'd like you to meet Sarah, my girlfriend."
This had really done it, I stared at Frank, before I started shouting at him: "Your girlfriend!!!! You never told me, you had a girlfriend," I screamed.
By this time everything in the room had gone silent, and everyone was staring at me.
"Yeah, I did mention Sarah." Frank muttered. "Anyway, why should it matter so, much, I thought we were just friends?" He said
"Are you stupid? Can't you see I love you," I screamed.
At that, I ran out, I could feel tears streaming down my face. Becca ran after me, and whilst I was running, I wasn't looking where I was going, and tripped up and fell to the floor, and after that everything else was a blur.
