An Angel's Wings (a BJA story), chapter 1
'Happy Birthday Billie Joe! Happy Birthday to you!' sang Tre Cool and Mike Dirnt.
'Thanks guys, really," said Billie kind of sadly.
'What's wrong man?' asked Tre.
'Nothing, it's just that by this time in my life, being 34, I would have a family and would have been married to someone already,' Billie sighed in response.
'Oh, well you always have us!' smiled Mike hopefully.
Billie forced himself to smile and go on as if nothing was wrong.
'Hey, why don't you open your presents now Beej?' asked Tre with a hopeful smile on his face, both he and Mike know that BJ was only faking his joy to please them.
Billie opened the first package and found a... pair of socks before him.
'Oh, thanks Mike, for the...umm...pair of socks,'
'That's not all,' said Mike smirking, 'check the insides.'
Billie opened the ball of socks and found a roll of pictures from a picture booth with BJ, Mike and Tre in it. The last picture had Tre and Mike with a pad paper saying, 'You'll always be our No.1 Rockstar! Enjoy your B'day!' Frum Tre the Pimping One and Mike THE DUDE.'
'Heh, thanks guys,' said Billie with tears in his eyes
'Oh, and one more thing,' said Tre handing him a glass vial which read, 'Angel Summoning Water: CAUTION!
'We gotta go now Billie, it's late,' said Mike.
'Happy Birthday Billie!' said Tre and they both left.
Billie sighed and looked back at the vial in his hands. He followed the instructions, but jokingly, just to put a little fun into his birthday. The instructions read: Pour liquid into a clear crystal champagne glass. Add any white flower to the glass and stir with a silver teaspoon. Finally, add the little crystal pendant of an angel to the solution and wait for 6 hours.
'Aah, what a bunch of crap, that's so funny. I'll do it anyway, it's not like I have anything better to do anyway...' said Billie to himself, shut the lights off and clambered into bed...
