Can Love Come From a Stranger's Heart?, chapter 4
I looked around and to the ground just as the rope broke loose. I was right; it would break under my weight and not hers, though I only weigh 115 pounds. I tried one more time to pull myself up and this time almost made it before the cement that was on the edge broke loose leaving me hanging only to a small piece of wood that was sticking out of the building. The only way to get to the top or anywhere else now was to get into the window that was two feet below me, that was almost impossible, it was impossible, I couldn't fly! I tried it once when I was five and broke my freaking arm!
"Billie, keep hanging on, please don't let go!" Sabrina yelled to me. I don't do this very often, but do you think praying would help me out of this? GOD PLEASE HELP ME! I called in my head. I looked back to the ground and closed my eyes; it was five floors below me. Oh my gosh, I can't possibly make it. Wait. Where's the tornado? I looked around as best as I could, but couldn't see any trace of it.
"Billie, I think the tornado left."
"Sabrina... " I said while still holding on to the building, "I really don't think a tornado can just disappear like that." I said while looking to the edge of the wall of was hanging to. I heard Sabrina stand up behind me and mumble something.
"Um, do you mind repeating that? I couldn't quite understand."
"Oh, yeah. Billie, there is someone with a camera over at that edge of the building," she said pointing to another building, "someone over there, and in that window below you, someone also has one."
"ARE we making some sort of movie, that we don't know about?" as I said this I heard the window below me open. "Yep. You guys are on a new show. It is called TORNADO CASTERS. Interesting, huh?"
"Will you help me down so I can kill you?" I yelled.
"Wow, I don't think so. If you're gonna act like that I'll have to think about it." I was getting mad, but holding my anger back.
"Just help him down!" Sabrina screamed.
"Okay young lady, in a minute." He took a cell-phone out of his jacket pocket and dialed a number. "Someone will be right over in a fire truck." He said to us. After ten minutes of straining my arms to keep myself up a red and white fire truck came around a corner. Five minutes later me and Sabrina were on the ground again.
"Geeze, my arms are so freaking sore." I said while rubbing them.
"Now, for almost killing ourselves to do this, are you planning on paying us?" Sabrina asked him.
"No, why would we pay you." He asked her.
"This is why... " she kicked him in the nuts as hard as she could. He fell to the floor and I lent over him. "And, you don't want her to do that more than once, especially if she's mad." I smiled.
"Okay, how much do you want?" he asked.
"Enough to fix my car." I responded
"How much?"
"About $30, 900 to $38, 500."
"What?! I can't give you that much money!"
"What would you rather do? Pay for surgery on your nuts, or pay for my car?"
"How did you get that much money to get it in the first place?"
"Duh, rock band. It's called being famous."
"Why should I have to pay you then?"
"Because I will kick you again, and again, and again if you don't. How's it sound?" Sabrina said.
"Fine, I'll pay you the money. Most people would be happy to play in a movie like this."
"If they knew that they were supposed to be playing in it, then yes, they probably would." I told him
"And by the way, who was that one man that was in the back of the car, dead?" Sabrina asked referring to the person that was in the car behind mine, and he looked as if some one had come by and killed him.
"Oh, he just had makeup on, that's all." He answered her.
