Can Love Come From a Stranger's Heart?, chapter 7

"You don't believe me!"

"Good night." he said, rolling onto his side. I smiled, but went to sleep. I could feel tiny foot prints on my shoulder and whiskers against my face as the cat tried to wake me up. I tried to move my arm but I was laying on it. When I moved my arm I smacked Billie on accident, waking him up again.
"What?" He asked, looking at me. He was trying to keep himself awake.
"Sorry." I said as the cat jumped from my arm to his head.
"Ow. Marsh! Get off of my head." he said while picking the kitten up and pushing him off of the bed. I could tell that he was about to fall back asleep, this made me laugh. He looked at me and sighed, shaking his head.
"What?" he nodded.

**The next morning**

I woke up around 9:00a.m, it was dark in the room still, then I remembered that he had a blanket over the window, that may be why. I noticed that he wasn't awake yet so I pushed on his shoulder. He mumbled something, then woke up.
"I'm awake." He said to me as I was still shaking his shoulder. I stopped and looked at him, a smile across my face.

"You need to see your hair, Billie Joe." he looked at me confused. "It is all spiked, oh my gosh, you look so weird! He smiled, then pushed his hair back.
"I need the beauty," I laughed, leaning in to kiss his lips. He let me. About five minutes later we were dressed, heading downstairs. I pushed him out of the way so that I could go down first, he just looked at me, as he held onto the railing to hold himself from falling. I walked down, laughing at him. When we walked into the kitchen everyone was already there.

"Nice hair, Billie," Sarah laughed. He smiled.
"As I said before 'I need the beauty', really badly," everyone laughed.
"Are you saying you're bad looking?" his mom smiled.
"Um, maybe."
"Well, considering how much you look like your dad, then you're not saying much for him."
"Okay, just for dad, maybe I'm not ugly. But....."his mom looked at him.
"Go ahead Billie Joe," Marcy said.
"What were we talking about?" he asked. I laughed as did the others.
"Good one Billie."
"No really, what were we talking about?"
"You said you didn't look that good, and I said you looked like your father. And then you went off into space."
"What?" he said. I thought he was just playing around, but apparently he was serious.
"Billie, are you okay?" Alan asked.
"Yeah. Why?"
"Do you remember waking up this morning?"
"Duh, yes."
"Um, Billie, sit down." his mother got up.
"Why?" he asked. I looked at him. What was going on? Why had he just completely blanked out?
"Billie, did you block out everything we were just saying?"
"I've tried before and it didn't work. If it did now, then that will be a-m-a-z-i-n-g."
"What? Why will it be amazing?"
"You forgot to spell it out!" Ana exclaimed.
