So alone. Or am I?, chapter 6
*An hour later*
Sheedy placed me on a lumpy mattress in what looked like a disused warehouse.
"Why?" I asked through tears, my voice barely more than a whisper.
"Because... " He began. "It doesn't matter okay? Just stay quiet and you'll be fine." He began towards the door but stopped, rethinking it and came back, "But just to make sure you don't escape." He moved me slightly so I was sitting against some hard poles; he picked up a chain and placed it around my waist before also placing it around the pole. The chain was thick and heavy, also having a padlock on the end, he clicked it into place. Basically impossible to get out of without the key. He then left, smirking.
'Okay,' I thought. 'This guy, I don't get it.' I began to cry harder, then remembered, my mobile it was in my right pocket of my jeans, I still had them on but they were ripped and covered in blood, my mobile however was still there. I managed to get it out with slight difficulty. 'Great,' I thought. It looked dead, it was cracked and scratched, no signal came from it, the screen completely blank. I pressed the on button, to my surprise it worked it actually came on.
*Gem's POV*
I sat there, just sat there. Staring at the bed were Giggle had been just over an hour ago. I wanted to cry oh how I wanted to cry but I just couldn't, all I could do was sit there and stare at that bed, occasionally blinking. Millions of emotions ran through me but I could express none and I felt more guilty still as I could hear the sobs of Twinkle next to me. I glanced over to her, she had her heading her hands, which were dripping tears, and she was shaking uncontrollably.
I gently put an arm around her shoulders, making her lift her head, her face was red and tear stained, her eyeliner smudged everywhere, her eyes blood shot and puffy. Wow she looked bad, but inside I wished I looked like that, to people it must have looked like I didn't care I did but I just couldn't cry. No matter how much I wanted to. A few silent moments later my mobile buzzed, I sighed reluctant to answer it but it continued I couldn't ignore it. I fished it out of my pocket, not even looking at the caller ID and answered.
"Hello?"
"Hi."
"And this is?"
"Gem, Gemi, it's Giggle help."
I paused for what seemed like forever, no it couldn't be. It couldn't be who would play a trick like this. But... If it was her...
"Gemi please."
That's when it hit me. It was her no one and I mean no one but her ever called me Gemi. "Gigs, where are you?"
"I dunno I'm scared. He's gone for now but I'm trapped."
I heard her cough a few times. "Where does it look like?"
"Well, it's dark kinda like a disused warehouse."
Then I heard her scream, followed by. "Listen you try something like this again n I promise your toast." Then it went dead, I tried to call her back but there was nothing no ringing and waiting for a reply just dead silence.
Then it dawned on me again. 'Disused warehouse,' of course I knew where there were some, but there were loads of them altogether. I glanced around and saw a shocked but hopeful Twinkle looking at me.
"So?" She asked.
I shook my head. "Disused warehouse," Was all I muttered, before getting up and leaving the room.
"GEM!" Came the call of Twinkle behind me, but I just kept going.
