Welcome To Paradise, chapter 1
*BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP*
I groaned as I shut off my alarm clock. I opened my eyes to see the bright-white roof of my new room. I got up slowly, throwing the covers off of me, looking around at my almost empty room. All there was was a few unopened boxes full of my stuff, along with my bed and my alarm clock. I opened one of the boxes that read "CLOTHES", and took out a green shirt, jeans, socks, underwear, and flip flops. I put all of those things listed on, and walked into the bathroom that was next to my room. I put on some makeup, including mascara, eyeliner, and a little bit of makeup. One of my philosophies is not putting on too much makeup. I mean, I didn't want to look fake, like all those preppy chicks that just COVER their faces with the stuff. You know, the one's that look like a plastic Barbie doll?
After I had done so, I went back in my room and got my backpack and wallet. I went downstairs to find my mom in the kitchen. She was drinking coffee.
"Hey mom."
"Oh, hey Melissa." she said and gave me a hug. "Are you excited for your first day at Middleton Junior High?"
"Sure." I said glumly. "I'm not TOO excited. I hate moving."
She nodded and said, "Well, try to make some friends."
I said ok and made myself some toast. When it popped up out of the toaster I said my good-bye's to everyone and walked out the door, eating my toast. I saw the sidewalk across my street. There was kids my age standing there, obviously waiting for the bus.
"Oh, that must be my bus stop." I said to myself and ran to the desired place.
"Hey." I said kind of shyly to everyone.
"Hey." they some said back.
A couple of kids came up to me. One of them shook my hand.
"And you are?" I looked into his beautiful green eyes. I kinda got lost in them. "Um, are you there?" He said as he waved his hands in my face.
"Oh, ya, sorry.... I'm Melissa. You can call me Liss or whatever."
"Well cool. I'm Billie Joe." He pointed to one of the boys next to him. He had bright blue eyes that were hard to look at. "This is Tre."
I shook his hand. "Nice to meet you."
"Your pretty." he said simply.
"Um..." I said, and blushed.
The other kid that I didn't know his name to was pushed Tre. "Come on, dude."
"Oh, and this is Mike." Billie Joe said between laughs as he pointed to the kid that had scolded Tre.
"Cool. Nice to meet you." I said as I looked at him. He also had very pretty eyes. They were darkish blue, very sexy.
"I'm the only normal one out of all three of us." He said as he smiled.
I giggled as Billie and Tre glared at him.
"I only speak the truth." he said as he pretended that Billie Joe and Tre weren't giving him the evil eye.
I spun around as the bus pulled up. I motioned the guys to come and we all loaded on the bus. We had a great time on the bus. We talked about a bunch of stuff, which including cursing and laughing and all that good stuff.
When we got to the school, right after we got off the bus, I looked at it.
Tre, who was right behind me, said, "Welcome to paradise."
