Those aren't eyes......, chapter 2
"Tre?" It can't be. His voice is familiar but........no....it couldn't be [i]him[i]. My eyes shifted from the gravestone, but I still didn't dare look at his face. If it was indeed who I thought it was then he would kill me with one look. After all those eyes of his weren't eyes...
"Yeah....do...you have a name?" He asked this as if mocking me. For a moment I forgot my suspicions about who he was and snapped around. That was the biggest mistake of my life. We locked eyes. My mouth opened slightly and I let out a little gasp. Those weren't eyes.
"Hello?" Tre giggled. His eyes were blue. But I had never seen blue eyes like this. Where as most eyes were a dark and deep blue, Tre's were a light cloudy blue, yet they were crystal clear. Pools of milky blue that reflected the light so perfectly they made them look less like eyes....and more like stars.
A hand waved in front of my face and I broke away from my staring and focused in on his whole face. It was who I had imagined. Tre Cool.
"Welcome back to the land of the living, kind of ironic considering where you are. Anyway, as I was asking you before you slipped off into oblivion, gotta name?"
"Ashelyn..." I managed to whisper. Tre smiled.
"Well, Ashelyn, your name matches your voice, it's very beautiful too. So, have you any family other than this one here?" I broke away from looking at Tre. I was still shocked that he was talking to me.
"Uh...n-no, he's umm...he's my last family." I fumbled my words.
"Oh I see....do you live around here?"
"Well...I did...I shared an apartment with my brother, but now I'll have to rent out a box from some hobo."
"Oh, that really sucks, I know what that's like though, having no where to go, being broke. It's a crappy way to get around."
If only....no...that's crazy.
I sighed and slowly inched my eyes back over to Tre, I couldn't focus on anything but those eyes that weren't eyes, those.....stars. But to my dismay the eyes had dissapeared. Tre was staring at the ground and all I saw was a red mess of hair before me.
"Y'know..." Tre started but then stalled as if changing his mind. "well...since you don't have anywhere to go....you could....I'm not saying you have to because that could be really weird for you considering I'm probably what? 15 years older than you?.......but you could um.....crash at my place?" Tre looked at the ground again.
My eyes grew wide. Had he actaully asked me that or was I going crazy?
"I....I don't.....know what to say...I'm shocked.....but if you really want to lend your house to a complete stranger, then....I would be...so thankful."
"Yeah, I'm sure I want to.....but are you sure you want to?" Tre shifted his eyes from the ground, to me. I nodded looking at the starry eyes before me again. The owner of those amazing eyes that weren't eyes, smiled.
