There He Goes..., chapter 3

Sadly I had to go. We'd see each other again soon.

I skipped home humming happily. I was so excited that I made a new friend my first day in California. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad here after all. They had nice weather, and from what I could tell nice people (except for Eric).

As soon as I got home I decided to call Alicia and tell her about Billie. Hmm I really seemed to like him. Maybe it was because he was the first person I've interacted with besides my mom from Connecticut to here. But I don't think that was it, Billie was great. Or should I saw BJ, he told me I could call him that. Since it was summer break me and him could spend all the time we wanted together until school started, and maybe even then we would be in the same class and be inseparable! Jesus Christ, why am I so worked up over a boy? Whatever, I'm calling Alicia.

I dialed her number and someone else answered as usual. "Put your sister on the phone" I told him (it was her brother).
"Hey Autumn!!!!" she yelled. Apparently she'd been missing me as much as I missd her.
"Hey Alicia. Guess what" I said automatically starting the conversation.
'What?" she asked.
"I met a boy today" I answered in a strange voice I didn't intend to use. That was a sign.
"OOh was he cute?" she asked. I started laughing hysterically. That was definitely her personality.
"Yeah kinda, but we're like best friends and I haven't even been here a whole day yet!" I yelled excited.
"Thats so cool. You have to send me a picture of him or something" she told me happily.
"I will when I get one of him. He might even go to my school!"
"That's so awesome. Well, I gotta go. My brother wants the phone" she said sounding annoyed.
"Alright. Miss ya, bye" I said. She said the same and hung up.

This was the happiest I'd been since I found out we were moving. I didn't mind not being in Connecticut all of a sudden.
