There He Goes..., chapter 5
Since it was Friday me and BJ were able to spend some time together. It wasn't a happy time but we were glad we were together. He wasn't mourning alone with only his mom to cry to when she could barely handle it herself. I will always be there for Billie no matter how much I may be crushing on him he is still my best friend.
A few days later he came back to school with me. He still wasn't feeling too hot (but man I thought he looked it, he cleans up good), but that was okay because no one really talked to us much in school anyway. We resolved our own problems on our own together. That is untill today.
Me and BJ sat down at our seats that were next to each other. Our teacher stood up as a little boy with dark blonde hair walked in. "Oh good, you're here" she said smiling to him. He was pretty skinny, and at the moment looked shy from, being infron of the class. He was wearing beat up worn out clothes and held a lunchbox. Typical new kid, I thought. "Class, this is Mike Pritchard. He's new to this school. I'm sure you will make sure he feels comfortable here" she said. She let him choose a seat once she was done speaking to the unattentive class.
The only empty seats were next to me on my other side so he had no choice to sit down.
Once he did his personality seemed to change."Hi, I'm Mike" He said happily. He had a cute smile too but not as cute as BJ's. I had gotten used to his over the years.
"Hi, I'm Billie joe, but you can call me BJ if you want. Or Billie" Billie said looking across me to him.
They looked at me expectingly.
"I'm Autumn, I'm BJ's best friend" I told him. I realized something. The minute Mike came over BJ seemed to forget that he had been so upset this weekend. I wasn't going to mention it though, I didn't like seeing Billie cry and then have me cry with him. Maybe if Mike and us became friends today we could come over my house instead of going to Billie's. That'd definately bring back those sad thoughts.
But suprisingly Mike seemed to fit right in with me and Billie. Now we cold be a three-some. Three best friends making our way up to Middle school. Even if that was still 2 years away, but look how fast 4 years went by with Billie and me. And now we had Mike. He was pretty cool.
