Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, chapter 3
*Kali's P. O. V. *
"Not trying to seem rube or anything, but why are you here?" I asked looking him squarely in the eyes, searching them for an answer. "Y'know? It's not everyday that your idol jumps off the roof of the hotel your staying, landing in the pool, getting her brat of a sister soaked, and because of that you almost die because you can't swim and your terrified of any body of water larger than a puddle." I said in one breath.
"Whoa," he said, chuckling. "That's a lot to say in one breath."
We laughed at the thought of what I just said. After a minute or two of laughing, we calmed down and I layed back down on the bed, exhausted.
"So, may I ask you a question?" he asked me.
"Well, you don't give me much of a choice, now, do you?" I said laughing.
"Ha ha," he said. "So, like what type of music are you into?"
*? 's P. O. V. *
"Punk," she replied simply.
"Really?" I said. "So I take it that you like Green Day?"
"Yeah. You guys rock!" she said enthusiastically.
"Yeah, we sure do!" I replied.
We laughed at the joke for a little bit, then we started to talk about just everything. We had a lot in common. I learned that she played the guitar in her band, LYRA K, but she was diagnosed with knee cancer so she had to switch to the drums that way she could still be apart of the band.
She also told me that I was her favorite of the band. She said that I was her role model and her idol. I was shocked by that. I mean, It's not everyday that you get told that you are someone's role model and idol. You would be shocked too.
I had also learned that LYRA K stood for the first letter in each of the members name; Lana, Yasmin [pronounced Jas-min], Ryan, Alex and Kali. I thought that that was a cool name.
By the time we ran out of things to say, it was around midnight and the nurse had come in and told me that I had to leave because visiting hours were over. I left, promising her that we would come by tomorrow to see her and that she would be able to get out of here tomorrow night.

Well, he had to leave so we said good bye to each other and he left. As soon as the door shut behind him, I fell into a sleep that was filled with dreams of Green Day and this whole vacation.
