A 'Tre Cool' Love Story, chapter 1
"I can't believe she's having a baby with him," Sarah Fallon said to her dad as they were on their way to Berkeley from Sacramento, where her mom Anna lived. She was expecting a baby in a few weeks and Sarah and her dad decided to go and see Anna, Danny (Anna's new husband) and Sarah's twin brother Jimmy.
"Well kiddo, they did it so you have to live with it," Kieran Fallon replied, keeping his eyes on the road.
"Ok Dad that was a bit gross," she replied screwing up her face, then gave out a laugh.
"Well once you think about it, a lot of people in the world could be doing it right now," her dad said trying to be serious but ended up laughing.
"Eww! This conversation has to end now!" Sarah yelled.
"Ok, ok I'll stop now," Kieran said with a laugh and then put his eyes back on the road.
They weren't far from Berkeley but it had been a long drive from Sacramento. Kieran Fallon turned into the main road of Berkeley. Sarah turned the radio on and 'We Are the Champions' by Queen started playing. She and her dad started singing along. Then out of nowhere, a truck slammed into the side of the car...

Sarah woke up and found herself in a hospital bed. Her twin brother Jimmy was sleeping in a chair beside her bed. She looked around the room but her dad, mum and Danny weren't there. Her back was really sore and she noticed that she had a few scratches on her arms and legs. Just then, the door opened and it was Danny. Sarah hated Danny so much and Danny hated her. He walked in a saw that Sarah was awake, but then he went out again.
Typical Danny, showing his hate for me. Why can't he just say hello or ask me if I am ok but NO he walks out. For fuck's sake I'm in a hospital bed with no clue if my dad is all right or where my mom is! Geez! Sarah thought to herself. She didn't notice that her brother had woken up.
"Hey Ringo, your all right!" Jimmy said to me using my nickname that he made up. She had no idea where the name came from, other than the guy from the Beatles.
"Yeah I'm fine, where's Mom and Dad?" she asked him a bit worried.
"I'm sorry Sarah, Dad... " Jimmy choked. "Dad didn't make it," tears started forming in his eyes. Sarah had never seen her brother cry, but then again she doesn't seen him that much only during summer and Christmas break.
"Oh my God!" Sarah started crying along with her brother. Jimmy gave her a hug to calm her down. "But where's Mom?"
"She was hospitalized a couple of days ago. She collapsed from exhaustion and she can't be released until she has the baby," Jimmy said as he stopped crying.
"Is she gonna be ok?" Sarah asked really worried and still crying.
"Yeah she'll be fine, don't you worry Ringo, I'm here for you," Jimmy said trying to cheer up his sister. He didn't know if things were going to be all right but all he had to do was hope. He felt uneasy, like something telling him things weren't going to be all right from now on.

Sarah was released from the hospital a couple of hours later. Jimmy took her to see their mom. She didn't look very well and was asleep. Danny wasn't there. Jimmy said that he probably had a court case. Both Jimmy and Sarah were glad that he wasn't there. Sarah went over to Anna's bed and gave her a hug. As she did this, she felt the baby kick.
"Jimmy, get over here, the baby's kicking!" she called her brother over and both put their hands on Anna's stomach.
"Wow! That is so cool!" Jimmy said amazed. "Benjamin gave us a little kick!"
"Benjamin? Is that gonna be his name?" Sarah asked curiously.
"Yep, Benjamin Tyler Wood is his full name," Jimmy said happily. "You know that he ha to take Danny's last name."
"Yeah, I'm not an idiot Jimmy!" Sarah said giving her brother a slap.
"Just making sure!" Jimmy said with a laugh and rubbed his arm.
