Mom, Why Didn't You Tell Me?, chapter 3
I heard someone behind me so I put my clothes over it. I brought my guitar with me, I had to leave my drums and bass. I put my stuff in Stacey's car and we left to the adoption center.
I kept thinking of Billie or as Stacy says, my dad. I wonder why he left my mom and I. It was so hot and I wanted to take off my sweatshirt but I didn't want anyone to see my skin underneath it. It didn't take long to get there.
We walked through the door. A big plump lady was at a desk typing on a computer.
"Ahem" Stacy coughed. The lady looked up at us.
"You must be Bailey Jade," The lady said. When I didn't respond she added "I'll show you to your room."
We went down quite a few hallways. I really don't like this lady. We finally entered a tiny square room. Stacy and I put my stuff on my bed.
"This is your room," the lady said to me in a fake voice. I was tempted to say 'no shit sherlock' but it wasn't worth it. "Supper will be done in five minutes"
"I'm not hungry" I said stubbornly.
"Oh, Ok," she said. "Good night."
Good night? It's only seven.
"Good night." I said in a pissy tone. She closed the door behind her.
Over the next few days I didn't eat I did drink water though. All day I would write and play guitar.
