All The Good Titles Were Taken...So We Used This One!, chapter 11

The next day, neither of the girls saw Billie, Mike or Tré. They did have a concert today so that was probably why. For the new apartment, both girls had brought the only decent stuff that they owned. They didn't need anything else. All of their stuff was in the car. It was the day before they could move in and they were telling the receptionist at the hotel that they would be leaving tommorrow. They decided to go shopping to get all of the furniture that they'll need. All of the general stuff was there, a sofa, a T.V, a table , chairs, a kitchen area and bathroom stuff. They just needed the rest. All of their new stuff was going to arrive at 2:00 the next day at their apartment. They had nothing better to do so they went shopping. They both decided that a girl could never have too many clothes. (It's actually a proven fact!) So they bought as many clothes as they could fit into their hands. The day before, Billie had told Jamie that he would buy the furniture so he gave her his wallet for the day. And the two happily spent it. Later that day the two friends went back to their room to pack for the move. When Jamie opened the door, there was a small note on the floor, it had the name: Jamie written across the front in Billie's messy hand-writing.
Hi Jamie. Just to tell you and Ashley, we DO have a concert tommorrow but it's early (Strange eh?)so we can make it to your apartment by 3:00. (we DID say we'd help unpack didn't we?). Do you need anything else for your place? If you do just call me.
love ya, Billie xxx

Jamie scrunched up the note and thought about the last few words. If he did then why would he have been texting Adie yesterday? Does he really love me? Is he sorry that Adie said that hateful stuff to me? Or is he just sorry that he got caught? So many questions wizzed around Jamie's mind at once. She still loved Billie. But she didn't know whether she loved him as her boyfriend or as her hero. She didn't have a clue where she stood anymore. She didn't know whether to call him or not. Nah. He'll still be in concert. Her wave of thoughts were disturbed when Ashley switched on the T.V. For the next few hours, the two best friends watched all of their favorite movies. They hadn't had so much fun since their sleepover parties when they were 15. Only then it was different. They had been a trio back then. God, they missed their best friend, Jason so much. If only Ashley hadn't drank so much that night then maybe he'd be here today.....

Flashback
It was Ashley's 18th birthday party. That night had been great. Jamie and Jason laughed as Ashley danced around on the dance floor, a bottle of vodka in one hand and her boyfriend, Frank in the other. That lasted for a few hours, then Ashley got very sick. Jamie comforted her for hours. Jason was in a bad mood because he'd just seen the guy he liked and needed Jamie's advice on how to talk to him. ( Did I mention that Jason was gay?). Jason saw the guy leave and told Jamie that he was going to walk home with him. He suddenly felt confident enough to talk to him. Jamie thought that it must be the vodka. They were having a sleepover at Jamie's after the party. Both Ashley and Jamie got worried when he never turned up. They just assumed that he got lucky and they'd ask him about it at college, the next day. The guy was there, but Jason wasn't in the common room. They asked the guy what happened, and he said that he didn't even know that someone was talking to him last night. They thought he was lying at first but they saw the look in his eyes and they knew that he wasn't. Then three days later, Frank dumped Ashley and said that Jason had told him to. When they asked him where he was he said that after he walked away he heard that he'd been killed................

"Just like the old days eh?" said Jamie as she watched her friend slot in her favorite movie to the DVD player.

"What, before we met Jason?" asked Ashley, suddenly at tear appearing in her eye. Jamie nodded. They missed him so much. Two hours later the movie finished and Jamie was about to slot in The Descent, when her cell phone beeped.

Jamie, I'm sorry that I was texting Adie yesterday. I should have known that she wouldn't take me back. I'm sorry I went behind your back to see if she would. I understand that you're pissed off. Can we make up? Txt back. Billie xx.

It was a text from Billie. She read it slowly. Every word filled her with anger. How could he go behind my back? She thought angrily. She'd never been so angry in her life. She replied to Billie's text and broke his heart as she did so.

Billie. I don't give a fuck! Why don't you just keep trying with Adie. You have more of a chance of getting back together with her than you do with me! So just FUCK OFF! Jamie x.

Billie broke down in tears. He DID love Jamie. No-one belived that he loved her. They all said that you can't love someone after just three days of knowing them. God, they were so wrong. He cried himself to sleep that night.

The girls watched more movies and then fell asleep...

Ashley felt something vibrate against her thigh. She woke up, realising that she didn't get changed into her PJs. She looked into her pocket. Her cell phone was still there.

"Hello?"she asnswered quietly, not wanting to wake her sleeping friend.

"Hey, Ashley. It's Tré," replied the voice on the other line.

"What's up?" whispered Ashley.

"Do you still want us to help you unpack today?" he asked.

"Of course, you offered didn't you?" said Ashley.

"Even Billie?" asked Tré warily.

"Yes, why?" asked a confused Ashley.

"Jamie and Billie just split up! Didn't you know that?" replied Tré.

"WHAT?!" shouted Ashley, not bothering to keep quiet. Jamie woke up.

"I'll tell ya later." Tré said quickly, realising he had just woke Mike up.
