THE AMERICAN IDIOT, chapter 2
*Home at last*
When Jimmy got home, his mom was drunk, asleep on the couch with a beer in her hand. "Stupid drunk bitch!" Jimmy said as he walked into his room, just as he was drifting of to sleep, his mobile started beeping, "SHUT THE FUCK UP!" Jimmy shouted loudly, it beeped again, this time Jimmy got up to see what was wrong with it. "What stupid idiot sends texts to me at this time in the morning?"
He shook his head and read the message, it said: Jimmy... I'm sorry about what happened before, I didn't want you to find out that way, anyway I know you took some too... But jimmy please promise me something, you will never forget me... I won't be here when you wake up, I'm going Jimmy, going forever, and I'm not coming back, please tell Lee and Adel. I love you Jimmy and I will miss you so much! All my love- Charlotte.
Jimmy was astonished, he felt it was his fault and he cried himself to sleep that night. He missed her already.
*Goodbye Jingle town*
Jimmy decided it was time to leave, he threw clothes into bags and said goodbye to his mom. But before he left, he texed Lee and Adel to tell them about Charlotte leaving, and told them that he was going after her. He got into the old wrecked car which has almost fallen apart, and drove into the city. He slept in the car and had just enough money to feed himself. The nights were long and cold. He hated it, living in a car with no heaters or blankets to keep him warm. But he soon got used to it.
*7 Years have come and passed*
Jimmy was 24 years old. He now had a job in a small shop and the owner let him live in the upstairs of it. "Can I help you?" Jimmy asked a female customer who he had never seen around before. "Umm... Can I have two bottles of Whisky please? Oh and Urr... Oh never mind," "Tell you what, the whisky is free. Oh and I'm Jimmy by the way." "Thanks Jimmy. But next time, I'll pay." she smiled and walked out. Jimmy liked her, even though she told him her name, he couldn't remember it, so... She goes by the name 'Whatsername'.

Jimmy soon got involved with drugs once again, he lost good friends, and made new enemies. He told everyone that Jimmy was dead, not physically dead, but Jimmy was dead inside. He was now J. O. S but felt like he had been pretending to be something he's not, and that was once being a guy called Jimmy. I'll tell you the part what happened before he was J. O. S, the part with Whatsername.
Jimmy and whatsername got very close, they ended up doing 'you know what' and Jimmy thought of her as his girlfriend, but more of a 'friend' than a girlfriend.
Not long after the start of their close relationship, Jimmy got involved with drugs, whatsername found out and got really upset. "I can't believe you Jimmy. How could you?!?!?" She yelled. "I thought you were the perfect guy! But no I was wrong! Jimmy, I can't believe you!" whatsername started to get tearful.
"I'm not Jimmy! I'm J. O. S! Jimmy was someone who I was pretending to be! All my life I was waiting for something to happen! Nothing I ever did felt right! Not until now! The real 'me' was locked up inside me! I know who I am now! And people make me do things I don't want to, and be someone I'm not! I cant pretend to be someone I'm not... And therefore I am Jesus Of Suburbia!" Jimmy also started to get tearful. "Well I preferred it when you weren't being you! I loved Jimmy! But I hate YOU!" Whatsername stormed out crying. After that, he never saw her again. He wished he never done it, taking those drugs was the worst thing he ever did.

J. O. S forgotten why he came out to the city, he knew there was something still missing in his life. J. O. S wanted to be Jimmy again, but no-one would help him, everyone he tried talking to just said the same thing: 'It was your life and you chose to take this road. I'm not helping you Jesus. Your alone. ' Jesus liked a band called 'Green Day' one of their songs reminded him of what the people were saying, it was the song 'Blvd of broken dreams' it was the lyrics 'My shadow's the only one who walks beside me, me shallow hearts the only thing thats beating, sometimes I wish someone out there will find me, til' then I walk alone' those lyrics meant 'it's your life and nobody make the choices for you, life is just like this next part which I will tell you.
*My way of explaining life*
Your in a car on your own, your on a very log straight road with turn-offs on the left and right side of you, if you go down a turn-off your risking your life, it could lead to a dead end (which means 'you die') or there could be another road that gets you onto the long straight road again. But the road isn't just straight all the way, there are obstacles in the way which you try to dodge, if you hit one it means you must clear up the mess (get yourself out of a situation) some roads are short, other are long, you cant go backwards in your car (if you do, its like going back in time) if you get into a new car it means your starting fresh (lead a new life) and everyones road ends at some point.
