"Oh my god that was so cool," I yelled pulling of my helmet and running over to Tré. He caught me and spun me around, as Billie Joe, and Mike laughed uncontrollably.
"I can't believe you beat him," Mike laughed, I nodded.
"I can't believe it either, I never loose," Tré pouted putting me down, I started bouncing around,
"This is such an adrenaline rush, thank you, thank you, thank you!" I yelled, kissing Tré's cheek. Billie Joe, and Mike still laughing, but money was exchanging hands, they all love to bet on random things.
Tré looked at me, and raised an eyebrow,
"I demand a rematch," he said huskily, standing with his hands on his hips in the 'superhero stance' as I call it. I smiled and shrugged.
"Okay, I don't mind whooping your ass twice in a row," I smiled, pulling on my helmet again, he pulled his on again too and we ran back over to the track and climbed into our respective go-carts.
3-2-1-go!
I put my foot down and sped off, leaving Tré just behind me, we were heading into the last corner, neck and neck, when he started to come closer and closer to my cart, then just at the last moment he pulled away, sending me into the side, at top speed...
*Billie Joe's pov*
"Mike, tell me he isn't gonna be like that," I started as I watched Tré close in on Steph's cart, Mike shook his head.
"He wouldn't be that stupid would he, he knows two people can't make that corner side by side," Mike exclaimed. We watched closely as they came closer to the corner, and then...
"Oh my god, Mike, call 911," I yelled as I ran over towards the track,
"Tré, what the fuck were you thinking?" I yelled as I tried to see if Steph was okay. The car was a little, well a lot, wrecked, and she was unconscious.
"Fuck Mike, where is that fucking ambulance?" I yelled as I checked for a pulse, good, she's still alive, that's a positive. The owners of the place came running over,
"What happened?" the guy asked.
"She hit the corner at a fair speed, she's unconscious, and the ambulance is on its way," I said, checking to see if she was bleeding anywhere, but not moving her, hey, I watch hospital dramas, I know not to move someone who's just been in an accident. The ambulance came into the lot, and the paramedics came running over.
Mike told them what had happened and they assessed her, and put her into the ambulance. I turned to Tré,
"You are one stupid twisted fucker," I yelled at him,
"I'll go in the ambulance with her, you two follow behind," I said, threw Tré a dirty look, and climbed in beside Steph's motionless, bruised body.
"Sorry, are you family?" the medic asked me, I looked at him.
"No, but I'm sort of looking after her while she's here," I said.
"So, is she gonna be okay?" I asked, fuck she better be, I thought as he checked her heart and stuff.
"She doesn't seem to be in too much danger, but we'll have to wait for scans at the hospital." He said, turning to me.
"Okay, we're gonna need some information, what's her name?"
"Stephanie, ahm," I thought back to the day we met her, she definitely told us her full name.
"Ahm, Stephanie Saunders," I said to him, he looked at me.
"O-kay, age?" he asked.
"Seventeen, almost eighteen," I replied.
"Any allergies?" he asked, I looked up at him.
"I don't know, it never came up," I replied.
"Sorry, but can I ask how you know her?" he asked.
"She's been working for me for the past month, and she's supposed to be going home tomorrow," I replied pulling off the mask thing that we had on under the helmets, he looked over at me.
"Shit, you're Billie Joe Armstrong," he said, I nodded.
"So how is she?" I asked, he nodded.
"Yeah, she'll get the best treatment and hopefully she'll be fine," He replied and opened the doors, because we had arrived at the hospital.
Steph was rushed away for scans and stuff, so I sat in the waiting room, worrying like crazy. Tré and Mike hadn't shown up yet, I looked at my phone.
Hey dude, we're gonna go home to tell Adie what's up and where you are, and possibly knock some sense into Tré. Call if you want us down there, Mike.
Well that's reassuring.
*a few hours later*
A doctor walked into the room with a clipboard,
"Mr. Frost?" the doctor asked looking around, I stood up and walked over to him.
"Are you Mr. Jack Frost?" the doctor asked. I nodded and smiled, he led me into a room, where Stephanie was sitting up on the bed, her wrist had a blue plaster cast on it and she had a bandage on her head, just below the temple. I walked over to her, and gave her a hug, she smiled at me.
"Okay, so Stephanie has broken her right wrist, has had to get 7 stitches below her temple, and has a mild concussion, but other than that, she's fine and dandy," he said smiling, I looked at him.
"Is she okay to fly?" I asked, he nodded.
"A day of rest, and as long as she feels up to it, she should be fine," he smiled. I looked up at him again.
"What about driving?" I asked.
"Look, Bil-I mean Jack, I'll be fine, stop worrying," she smiled, she is one for looking on the bright side of life. I nodded.
"Well, since everyone's okay here, can you just sign this release form and you'll be fine to go. Technically she is supposed to be kept in over night, but she has explained the situation, and assured me that the slightest thing happens, and she's gonna see her own doctor," he said handing me a clipboard. I signed it and handed it back to him.
*Steph's pov*
"So, are you sure you're okay?" Billie Joe asked me, as he closed his door,
"Yes." I answered,
"I'm sure I'm okay, so, where we going then?" I smiled, he nodded,
"Well we're gonna go to mine, just to let Adie know you're okay, she's a worrier," he smiled,
"Then I'll take you to Mike's so you can finish packing," he said as we pulled onto the highway. I nodded and closed my eyes.
"Oh my god Stephanie, are you okay? Mike just told me what happened to you." Bobbi yelled as I got out of the car, I smiled at him and nodded. He pulled me into a hug and held on tightly.
"Bobbi, I'm fine, it's just a few cuts and bruises," I giggled, pushing him away and smiled at him.
"I had the best time ever today, you should have come," I said as we walked into Billie Joe's house. He looked at me with raised eyebrows, as did everyone else.
"What?" I shrugged.
"Today was the perfect ending to a perfect month. I had lots of fun, and that's the main thing," I smiled.
"Now, where's Tré?" I asked, Billie Joe looked at Mike, who rolled his eyes, shook his head and looked towards the door to the kitchen.
I smiled and walked into the kitchen, where Tré was sitting at the table looking really upset. I snuck up behind him and wrapped my arms around his neck. He jumped up, and looked at me. I smiled, but then it faded.
"Tré, what happened you?" I asked as he turned round fully, to reveal a nasty looking shiner on his right eye. He frowned.
"Me and Mike got into a fight about how stupid I was, and that I shouldn't have taken it so seriously. I deserved it, and more," he said quietly.
"Well, since you crashed me into a wall, we're gonna have to find another way to tell who's the best, and Tré, you may have deserved it, but I forgive you," I laughed as he grabbed me and began spinning me around.
"So you're okay?" he asked, after a few minutes.
"Well, a broken wrist, 7 stitches and a concussion," I smiled.
"So, about this rematch?" I asked, raising my eyebrow. He smiled.
"We'll find a way that we can settle this without one of us getting hurt," he said and he sat down to think.
"I've got it," I smiled, Tré looked over at me.
"Arm wrestling," I said, Tré looked confused.
"You have a broken wrist, how are you supposed to arm wrestle?" he asked. I held up my left arm,
"I have got two you know," I smiled, he nodded.
"Okay, if you're sure it's fair," he said, I nodded.
"And Tré, no holding back. This is fair and winner takes all glory," I smiled, he nodded and put his elbow on the table. I sat opposite him and positioned my arm.
"Yess!" I yelled running into the living room, everyone stopped talking and stared at me. I stood still, and looked at them all and smiled.
"I beat Tré again, and that's the end." I smiled and everyone started laughing as a 'hurt' looking Tré came into the room.
"I'm a big idiot and Steph is the better than me at everything I can ever do," he said as he pouted, I giggled and gave Bobbi a hug.
"Can I get a lift to Mike's with someone, because I need to finish packing," I yawned, Mike looked over and nodded.
"Yeah, I'll take you," he said, putting his coffee down and standing up. I gave everyone a hug. This is the last time I'm gonna see them. It was a tearful goodbye, even though it's only been a month.
"By the way, I'm coming with you Steph," Mike said as he unlocked the house and opened the door.
"You what?" I asked, a little surprised at what Mike had just said.
"Yeah, I'm ahm, coming back to Ireland with you, to make sure you're still okay," he smiled, I nodded,
"Yeah, that's the only reason..." I smiled with raised eyebrows.
*Next morning*
"Bobbi, what are you doing here?" I asked sleepily, he smiled at me,
"I just needed to say goodbye to you, by myself," he whispered and kissed me, I smiled,
"Bobbi, I'm leaving in ten minutes, but I want you to come too," I pouted, and I don't usually pout, but I feel really close to him, like I never have before. He nodded,
"I know, and I want to come too, but I can't. You have my address, and I have yours and as soon as I get time off, I'll come see you, okay?" he said quietly. I smiled a little.
"Did you really come over here at three in the morning to tell me that?" I smiled again, he nodded.
"Yup, but I needed to say it," he said, pulling me into a tight embrace.
Mike walked into the hallway, and looked at me and Bobbi,
"You ready to go Steph?" he said smirking a little as he lifted his suitcase over to beside mine, he looked at Bobbi,
"Well Bobbi boy, I'll see you soon mate, and remember, not a word to Billie Joe or Tré until I'm outta the country, okay," he said, hugging Bobbi. Bobbi nodded and smiled.
"Well, I gotta go, or I won't be able to get up for work," he said, pulling me in for one last long kiss, he hugged Mike again and left.
I looked over at Mike,
"So, you ready?" I asked him, he nodded and we left the house, he took the suitcases out, and locked the door.
"Hang on Mike," I smiled and turned to face the house, I pulled my camera out of my bag and took one last picture of Mike's house, and then jumped into his car and we drove off to the airport.
